I don’t know what Capcom is doing and why they discontinue making any Street Fighter games like they did in the past with each game looking different; but they let SNK past them up but I have a few ideas for future Street Fighter I've posted in different SF forums, if they even read these forums

I think Capcom should develop a HD remix of this just like they did in SSF2T HD REMIX. Why should we only have a remix to that one? In this version the animation is even more fluid with 3-D backgrounds and the hip-hop soundtrack is slightly remixed with even better quality sound with extra tracks. Also, in the versus mode players are now available to choose all character stages from all SF3 games. This would be a great game.

a) It is the oldest and thus has the least frames

b) It is the most popular in the series.

You forget that sfiii was a flop on the market in its time for various reasons, and though there is alot of demand for it here, it's still a very small demographic. sfiii would cost way too much to animate with each frame drawn and bring so little back due to sfiii's laughable audience compared to sfii's popularity. Maybe Capcom could consider doing what they did with MvC2 and just improving on the original sprites, but the current vastness of  Street Fighter content right now ensures that won't happen. Possibly next year would be a good time for a new 3rd strike when sfiv's/HD remix's/MvC2's sales die down.

There's already all kinds of threads about this and it was explain why it won't get remade. But there's still a possiblity that the game could get a re-released.

You should talk it over in this thread.

Maybe you're new to the SF series curbs. LOL Of course SF2 sold more and part 3 was the least popular thats common sense. Look at the year it came out? 1999. By that time besides SF and maybe KO,F 2-D fighters wasn't that popular and it was a new era in fighting video games which was umm 3-D! SF2 was released in 1991 which had no competition at all to compete with other fighting games so thats why the sells was a lot higher than part 3 plus DUH! LOL but that doesnt mean SF2 was better; in 91 SF2 at that time, it set the standards for fighting games and was a innovative fighting game. Now if it was vice versa 3rd srike would of sold a lot more so come on use common sense plus it never came to home system except dreamcast and then later in 2004 for PS2 and didnt get all the hype from the media as well as part 2 because again,a total different era of fighting games. I'm in japan and I gurantee you if you did a survey of which SF is the best overall most people would  say 3rd strike and alpha 3 hands down so screw what you're talking about. Overall SF4 is not better than 3. That was the whole problem with Capcom in the early 90s because they kept releasing the same game with the same characters where it got too redundant so thats why I swung to Mortal Kombat's way until SF3 and the Alpha 2 and 3 came out and I prefer SF3 cast except Vega,Sagat, and Bison was gone but I was still satisfied;but everyone has their own opinions. I agree the EX series wasnt great except part 2,it was average. So regardless of what you think, 3rd strike HD remix should be made.

That was basically what I was saying, but with a whole lot of elaboration. I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to prove by it, though.

Just to cut down the first post - sfii is way more popular than sfiii, and has less frames, therefore it could be made whereas it is quite the opposite with sfiii. That much is factual, I wasn't trying to prove anything. Sure, you think 3rd strike HD remix should be made, but would it profitable after what poor results (for whatever reasons) sfiii brang back when it was released? Would Capcom even take a risk such as that? With the recent remixing of MvC2 and alot of Dash talk going round, I'm not sure it's top priority. I don't think the sfiii fanbase has the manpower to support something as costly as a HD remix of sfiii.

I'm in japan and I gurantee you if you did a survey of which SF is the best overall most people would say 3rd strike and alpha 3 hands down so screw what you're talking about.

Prove it.

After agreeing with what I said about sfii being more popular, I think you're being a bit contradictory.

SFIII won't get remade because it has too many frames of animations, that's all, it has nothing to do with popularity.

If Capcom were to remade SFIII, it will take a looooong time for them to finish it.But the game will still get the re-released, though.

They've got to make that money back some how.

Don't get me wrong, I would more than welcome a 3rd strike HD remix. I'm just trying to be realistic.

SFIII HD Remix would be brilliant... But it will probably hurt Capcom's sales (I think).

We dont need a HD Remix. We need an upgrade & rebalance. I was in ther middle of typing up my rebalance called SFIII - 4th Contact - The Future Is Now but it was on my laptop and I lost some of my work then got sidetracked with my living situation for 2 months. hopefully I can type it all up again and post it soon on here cause I keep saying Im gonna.
