Why should we only have a remix to that one?

a) It is the oldest and thus has the least frames

b) It is the most popular in the series.

You forget that sfiii was a flop on the market in its time for various reasons, and though there is alot of demand for it here, it's still a very small demographic. sfiii would cost way too much to animate with each frame drawn and bring so little back due to sfiii's laughable audience compared to sfii's popularity. Maybe Capcom could consider doing what they did with MvC2 and just improving on the original sprites, but the current vastness of  Street Fighter content right now ensures that won't happen. Possibly next year would be a good time for a new 3rd strike when sfiv's/HD remix's/MvC2's sales die down.

I would like to see a port but an HD Remix is incredibly unlikely for 2 reasons. The entire popularity argument is completely flawed because the era doesn't make the game, the game makes the era. If SF3 wasn't popular in 1999 because the genre SF2 created was turning 3D (EX FTL), there is no reason it would be any different for today's new customers. Yea, there may be new interest but that still creates a contradiction considering how SFIV is in an even more modern era yet still sold copies. The truth is SF3 is too hardcore for the casual customers who are getting these classics just for fun which is probably why SF3 wasn't marketed well to the regular player. Add how unrealistic it is to improve dreamcast graphics for a $10 download and it won't happen. Also, does anyone know if Japanese is the OP's first language? Hopefully, I didn't misinterpret his posts as biased. Alex, people tend to play games they like but are you saying everyone you know plays it? I think in a year a port will come out and be just like MvC2, widescreen but no HD Remix.

That's kind of a terrible survey.

SFIII? Meh, although my favourite game of the Street Fighter Franchise, I would have to say that they should just resume the series or remake Third Strike with a Story Mode.

Parrying nullifies balance problems, age doesn't matter, graphics are still good, so what that there aren't enough ports, SFIII3S isn't KoF (DLC $20 Vs. KoF $60 retail), and the game not being made isn't due to the developers not knowing what you know.

That will be all

parrying nullifies balance problems? parry with twelve and do c.lk x lp a.x.e xx SA 1... not much damage, huh?

parry with chun and do any cancel into sa2 or just do sa2 alone... BAM! ton of damage and you even have the ability to HJ-cancel and follow up for more damage.

obviously, your forgetting that the top and higher tier characters can parry aswell, so anything that the parrymechanic might nullify in terms of balance is really not a valid argument, as the upper characters can just parry a setup and mollywhoop the parried one with relative ease.

Not even a remix, we just want the game to be brought back with a great online system, a port atleast, I would give a leg for this, i might aswell give 2 legs!, well... i guess giving an arm would be pointless =/, anywayz, my point is, as-long as 3rd strike comes to both consoles, it will be great, not to mention 3rd strike's Sprites are amazingly developed from the first place, unlike 2, which needed enhancment to be ported :P.
