Was just thinking it could be fun to do some kinda "out there" tournaments for fun.  Right now, these Unity tournaments are really helping me keep my interest in SFIV, so this couldn't hurt.

Off the top of my head, 3 interesting tournament ideas come to mind:

- Rose Ball tournament
- Random tournament (you can only pick random)
- Dan tournament (you can only pick Dan, possibly throw in some rule where you have to do a certain number of taunts a match ;p)

Other ideas brewing in my head include some sort of limitation tourney, such as nothing but focuses/grabs, or no supers/ultras, or no normals, etc.

Maybe for a tourney you can't pick the same character twice.  Each match has to be a different character (possibly only for the winner of each match, we could fine-tune the rules here) but I would want it to carry over to each new round in the tourney, so no using a character you've previously used in the tourney, period.

Just throwing out some ideas.

I think these are all brilliant ideas... I say we start with the random tournament, that'll be a hell of a lot of fun.

That'd just turn into the Dan tournament again. ;) I like the idea, though. But we'd have to find some way to do it blind. Because if you already know who you're going to have to use, you can make them be a character with a disadvantage to that character. If you both choose the opponent's character without knowing who you'll have to use it becomes more interesting, since you'll have to try to second-guess them with your choice.

I think if it gets enough support, and we do the that table just like Sith did. Basically you should put all the names in a hat (The characters names) and say I was fighting you, you'd pull out the character I have to use at random and then do it for yourself.

What do you think, since you would be hosting these wacky tournaments?

Is their a position for me to manage the loser bracker XD?

If you mean the random tourney, I think we can trust people to choose using the random selector on the screen (plus we can see the other person choosing their character). If you mean for your idea where the opponent picks your character, it'd be too random that way. It's make more sense to have everybody for that round of the tourney PM me with their opponent's character, then I announce who they have to use in the topic. EDIT: Of course you can run the loser's bracket. Heck, anything that lets me do less work is a go, ;p

Yeah, that's the plan. 360 players can still post ideas in here or what have you, but if they want to start their own they can do it for themselves as well. My idea, my system ^_^.
