On XBL, I haven't seen anyone's % go up because of legitimate connection problems. Is that happening on PSN?
Yeah. I use a wi-fi connection and whenever I get disconnected, my percent doesn't increase nor decrease. I don't know about the other person though.
It depends on how many fights you have had, thats why its a percentage. 1% of 100 fights is 1 disconnect, 1% of 1000 fights would be 10 disconnects. If your on 9 and 1000 fights it wont show because it was less than 1% disconnect rate.
It all depends on how much you play the game :)
I shall play more and aim to rid of the darn 1%. The only thing is that I find the system to be a bit obscure considering that it'll require that many matches to clear it all up. Even so, I don't have as much time to play with the big fella.

Exiting the game via dashboard or psn home button should be disabled to prevent quick rage quits. but there's really no studies done (as far as i know) on how the actual percentage is taken. how far into the game you need to be or how soon it is effective is unknown and only speculated that it goes by disconnects / total games.

either way, based on how its done in championship mode, we still suffer from rage quitters and ordinary bad joint connections.
9% of that purpose quits because I like to have fun and I do not waste time battling turtles. Is faster to quit, reload game and find another match that battle a turtle down for 2-3 rounds.
Is not rage quitting and quite often I'm not losing. I just cannot stomach the boredom. Boredom quitting, that should be the name.
Just to be clear I'm not talking about charge characters and such who -need- be a bit defensive, I'm talking about real turtles.

That's completely ridiculous. If you're playing the game for fun, why do you care if you win or lose? Call it whatever you want, but you're still quitting. "Boredom quitting". Wow.
If you quit, even if you're losing lol you're still a quitter, and a loser. Ill be sure not to play you, id hate to have my stats ripped apart because you were simply bored. But then again you'd be too busy running around trying to escape me. Why would you risk losing BP due to disconnecting? sigh.. i just don't understand.

I dont agree with quitting, but I COMPLETELY understand where you are coming from. The people who run THE ENTIRE TIME or sit crouched in the corner all day long, I have no patience for...and the ones with Sagat who just tiger shot all day long and high kick/tiger knee when u get close...I can't stomach it either, it really gets me upset and I hate playing them...so since in champ mode all you get is a loss (still in g2A-13,700gps) I will just stand there and let them have at it..go use the bathroom or get a drink or something, just let them have the win so I can move on to someone who actually WANTS TO FIGHT....

#1 Bend over #2 Get on the forum of a company that supposedly took advantage of your position. #3 Cry about having been used in a disturbed manner. #4 Cry about others not having bent over and say how unfair it is. #5 Talk about how you think you might never bend over again. #6 Return to step 1." - Thamanator

I'm utterly useless on every character in SFIV, bar Vega. If you can think of a way of fighting with him that at least doesn't involve an element of hit and run, I'd like to hear it. Even poor players can knock off over 50% of his energy with a combo and all have the ability to rush and pressure him.
Vega, Dhalsim and Seth(to an extent)should be excluded from these debates.
