I say nothing is better than the original Street Fighter II but I would consider both Street Fighter II and IV to be in the same status.

Agreed I love the cheese of the announcer on CVS2, 4 is just fantastic stuff (The only thing that lets 4 down for me is some of the problems with online which is what I was looking forward to the most)

1) SSF2T:HDR 2) SF4 3) SF3:TI Honorable Mentions) SFA3:M and SFA2:G I love the roster of SFA3:M but it felt like they just through in everything they could and put little effort into actually balancing things, the result is that the balance was pretty horrendous. SFA2:G I'm told had good balance but I never played it enough before SFA3 came out to really confirm that fact. SSF2T:HDR seems to have the best balance currently which wins it my vote for best at the moment. SF3:TI, aside from the fact I never cared for parries, is pretty much a 2 character game at the competitive level but is probably still better balanced then SFA3:M. If SF4 ever actually got balance patched it might be able to over take SFHDR for the number 1 spot, but almost a year after its release theres still no balance patch so its looking more and more like we'll have to wait for one of their patented money grubbing expansion-sequels to see any balance changes. |
