1) Street fighter 2 turbo - it was the first game i ever owned and i still play it whenever i meet my cousin, we fire it up snes style. 2) SFIV - It got me hooked in a deeper way than any other street fighter did, i really didnt like 3 Maybe it was two much of a jump for me. Just didnt feel right..... 3) Street Fighter alpha 3 - loads of fighters and loads of supers not to mentoin alpha counters and rolls plus the best story scripting ever in a sf game

I have enjoyed every SF game to date and think they are all good. but if I must choose this would be my top two. #1. SFEX3. reason is because the EX series was the most offensive of all the games and therefore the least contradictory in terms of game design theory. #2. third strike. even with it's contradictory defensive metagame it is still pretty cool and fun to play and of course looks great. |

Not sure about best SF of all time but definitely my favorite. SFIV is the only SF game where I've been able to main probably 80% of the roster or maybe more consistantly using no continues on the hardest level (i.e. I'm commending the balancing mechanics of the game as you can use many characters to get the job done.) I used to be purely a Ryu player, but SFIV has given me more confidence to try others as well. So, thanks Capcom! |

1. Street Fighter II I loved this game. When I was a kid in S.Korea, I went to arcade after school with my little brother, and spent all day playing and watching others playing SFII. This was the first fighting game ive ever played. 2. Street Fighter IV Playing this game online with other people made me happy when i win and pissed me off when i lose. Im still loving this game. |

SFA 3, for me, is the best over all game - game play wise though SF3.
SF4 is very good, but a little too n00b friendly and baby-fied characters like Gief and Blanka to take number 1. there are alot of balance issues. I suppose they had to though (dumb down the game play)to bring in the myriad of potential new customers.

Sorry I need to clarify on 3. The gameplay is great but I didnt like the characters. Sagat is my favorite so it killed that I couldnt use my favorite character. The house that I lived at in college had lots of people that would come over every day and play SF 3 and EVERYONE picked Ken, Ryu, or Akuma. I got bored with fireballs, spinkicks, and dragon punches.
I forgot to mention how awesome SF 2 was when it first came out on arcade. You had to stand in line to play and people took the game really serious. |
