Locked: ps3 / psn issue

i just got my ps3 the other day and i bought + downloaded hd remix last night, played through single player no problems, then thought i'd try a few online games, i have no problem connecting to another persons game but as soon as i try host, the game doesn't like it

it lets me and the other player into the character select, we both choose our characters then it goes to the vs screen, after that it takes an age then eventually says i've been dropped from the game / dropped from psn (i think i managed to sucessfully host 1 game)

if i try play another match after this the game usually does the same, freezes then says i've been dropped, if i try play singleplayer it goes to the vs screen then freezes altogether so i have to either restart my ps3 or hit the ps button and quit the game

i tried re-downloading and re-installing the game and it didn't seem to make a blind bit of difference

any help would be appreciated

network connection is fine, i've disabled the firewall and opened all the ports and allowed the ps3 full access

have no problems on other games online, just seems to be this

i've restarted my router, reconfigured the connection on the ps3, tried everything i can possibly think of

It's probably a combination of a few things, but I believe it's mainly the bad netcoding for the PS3 version. It could be that the problem is on the opponents side's connection, but at the same time this game still randomly d/c a lot on me as well. Although I usually have more of a problem with getting d/c'ed when I'm playing in lobbies. This might not be a fix but try playing at different hours, sometimes you'll get people with better connection at certain hours so things might go a bit smoother.

I have a similar issue with the PS3 version and I would like to see the issue solved... does anyone on the team knows when we might get a patch?

I too have a similar problem, as well as my friend. We both purchased the game off PS shop roughly a week ago. We both have different systems as well; he has the old 60gb model and I just got a PS3 slim. For me I am able to join a lobby and play a match, and I am able to create one myself; however after selecting characters for the rematch it will stay on the v.s screen until a 'disconnection' message appears, much like rotherumz issue.

After it disconnects I try and play training mode, but yet again just like rotherumz it stays frozen on the v.s screen, forever.

A Capcom advisor suggested it might have something to do with the new firmware update. Is it possible that me, my friend and maybe rotherumz (I'm only assuming when you bought/downloaded your game based off the post date) purchased and downloaded the game after recent Playstation updates (2.80v and 3.00v) that may of caused this problem to occur?

There is already a thread for this here.

I will now lock this thread.
