Was thinking about this today, and mentioned it a bit in a Ask Capcom thread.
Mainly I was thinking just how cool this would be. Rather than having to hassle with another company, capcom could just use everything they own. Thus they could do whatever they see fit for the game.
The Capcom roster is quite big and it would especially be great since it would allow capcom to show the more obscure characters they have such as Gene from God Hand. In my opinion Capcom fighting themselves would be better than any crossover they could bring us (well for the most part
EDIT: I know Capcom Fighting Jam attempted this somewhat, but it was poorly executed and didn't go into nonfighting game franchises. Something Tatsunoko and Marvel games did quite well. |

Capcom should do another cross over of itself except this time do it right with 3 vs. 3 tag team vs. style fighting. Capcom could celebrate its history. Story: Something happens and capcom characters from various worlds have to come together to exterminate the evil. The core of the story would revolves around the 2 original characters(the main protagonists) and the original antagonists made specifically for this game. The game would shed some light on the relationship between the two(think of Reiji and Xiaomu from Namco X Capcom)

lol it was called Capcom Fighting evolution. And it was Trash... i bought it off the strength of MVC2 and Cvs only to be dissapointed by that game. I also recall a game called Capcom Allstars that looked promising then got scrapped which i'm sure of quality reasons. Looking forward to seeing a Capcom Fight club here in L.A. soon, very cool that the company does that kind of outreach to the community to attract both hardcore and mainstream gamers. :) |

I really like the way that the comment above puts the main concept of this thread in a very clear perspective; well at least in My view...
There are many non-traditional & traditional fighting characters that Capcom own, that could be used in a new Capcom Vs.Capcom Brawler (even if some of those characters had to be edited a bit to fit them into such a video game in a balanced way; so be it..).
Company-wise, the profits from such a video game could be used more as a central fund for each of the Studios/projects, and people that work & develop alongside/in-concert with Capcom, or for other things if needed also.
