I wonder why the HD remixes are so hard to make? Does capcom not hand draw the frames before they make the bit map art? If they do, I guess they trashed it after making the games? Can't they just vectorize the sprites?

Its becasue the artist/animators have to redo everything (frame) in HD resolution and that is a long process.

SSFHD remix is all hand drawn and then digitalized.

If they just vectorized it, it will not have the same effect due to the resolution and pixels.

Yes, your have to bare in mind that to do an HD Remix, actual artists have to be hired to do the sprite work. Unlike with spriting, one cannot reuse portions of a already made sprite for other sprites for that character(to my knowledge) as the artists the level of detial dictates that each frame of animation must look smooth and believeable. Do to the lack of time saving from spriting, the prodject will take longer and even longer still depending on how much detail the company wants to use in the game.

SSF2THDR was only do-able from what I can tell becuae it eas a generally small game in terms of roster and stages.
