Is he close? ---> No ---> **** it! ----> Shoryuken!!!

That was priceless! Laughing

In my opinion, Ken is perfect as it is. The fact that he's a little overshadowed by Akuma actually is quite true, and it bugs me a bit. Maybe they should make some changes to Akuma. I don't mean he needs to be nerfed (not much), but I'd just want to see him and Ken having a wider gameplay difference.

I don't think that buffing Ken up would be a smart move, though, 'cause the risk of making him overpowered exists. There's only two characters that need a serious power up, and those are my man "claw" and El Fuerte (I was hoping so much to make him my new main, before the game came out...).

Also, there's two characters who need to be toned down a bit. We all know the names and Ken isn't one of them.

Ken needs faster startup on his uppercuts, because no one is afraid to jump in on him or get in his face on wakeup. Plus, the strong uppercut should be a single hit knockdown / juggle. His sweep is also waaay too slow... and for old times sake they should allow at least one of tho shotos to cancel a sweep into fireball. (and by one I mean KEN)

that is just stupid. I guess bison needs a better crouching anti-air too right?

I mean I main bison and I would love for him to have that but that would be steping outside of the character design.

I also play ken and know ken is supposed to be offensive. you can't give him greater defense. the issue isn't that he sucks it is that ryu, sagat, seth and geif are just to damn good. bring them down and the game looks pretty balenced.

Ono and the devs knew those 4 were powered up over all the other chars. They knew it. And quite a few chars cant even mix into an ultra atleast once.  Hondas ochio doesnt even work half the time, his arm goes right through the other char. lol    I can connect his ultra while bison is coming down with his hand glowing, but ken can have his leg out and he'll still block it.

Just through my experience.

It's called safe-jumping Cluschis.  Depending on the mid-air hit, and the timing of when you throw it out you can jump in such a way as to have your hit out enough to hit a person if they're standing in it's path but also be low enough to the ground and quick enough on the recovery of the move to land and block against counter specials from the opponent before they finish with their move's opening frames.

Makes for a great way to bait Shoryukens and stuff, use it all the time, though the timing can be tricky sometimes online.  Not sure if everyone has them either and some are easier than others.

EDIT: Man, I'm sleepier than I thought.  Was all full of typos.  Glad I cleaned it up.

Ken is overused when playing online but that doesn't mean he is godlike good. People just like him thats all. He is ok. Not super good nor does he suck. He is alright.

right, there is a big difference between being overpowered and overused. people just like ken's flashy style.

sagat on the other hand is overpowered and I would call certain aspects of geif to be broken also along with seth. ryu while not being broken is just to damn good, where as everyone else has SOME weaknessnes.
