SHOULD ONO DO 'ULTRA SELECT SYSTEM' IN SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV?
I was wathing the Beta videos of SSF-IV and I saw something that worried me!!!!
Look at Juri's bar. There is a "II" wrote on it. Could this II means "Second Ultra Selected"??
If it is, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! 2 ULTRAS at once is much better!! U cannot prewien the strategy of the opponent based in his ultra choise!
Ono must see that not all the things he did in SF-III was cool. at Sf-III, you choose one special and them your opponent choose his based in your to take advantage. BUT, this system leave the rounds SO PREDICTABLE!!! You just KNOW the circumstances of been hited and then know how defend yoursefl!
With Two ultras at once, the game be MUCH MORE UNEXPECTED!!! And unexpect = MORE FUN AND CHALENGE!
ONO PLZ DONT DO 'ULTRA SELECT SYSTEM'!!!!! |

Other than more predictability, the option to choose between different Supers/Ultras/Styles/Grooves outside (before) combat is a great way to draw newbs and kids away from the game, since it would confuse them and make them angry. Even worse, it would inevitably lead to some moves never being chosen because the alternative is generally more useful (on the other hand, if you can do both, you'll choose one or the other, depending on which one is more useful at the moment). |

I prefer the 3rd Strike system more then 2 ultras avaible at the same time i´m sure chars liek ryu would get even stronger and have a answer to everything then. Also SF III 4th Strike in 2D would be awesome. |

Exactly!! And this, in my opinion, makes the game much more unpredictable and fun!

At the very least, they should release Third Strike to XBLA and PSN before this comes out for no other reason that to get people familiar with the characters they are adding to SSF4.
Kind of like how they released HD Remix right before SF4 and got everyone reminded of what they were getting. Of course, a Street Fighter III: Third Strike HD Remix would be a must buy for me. Just hand the thing over to David Sirlin, let him rebalance it and do the multiplayer modes like he did with SSF2THDR and you'd have one awesome game on you're hands. |

See, for example, how Akuma would be: MESATSU GOU HADOU -> Half ultra bar, less damage SHUN GOKU SATSU -> Full ultra bar, more damage
This exemple can be used for All characters. And remember, Ryu should not use Metsu Hadouken, cause gouken SEALED his Dark Hadou.
Anyway, if ALL characters have two ultras at once, whould be easy for Capcom balance them All. |

Sirlin would make the game better no doubt, but that would mean removing parries. And that wouldn't bode well for ignorant fanboys.
Only scrubs think 3rd Strike is the best Street Fighter of all time.

Gameplay shown so far says otherwise. We've seen everyone do their Ultra's with full meter. Also, the only screenshot we have of the startup for Juri's Ultra I (the current one we see in the videos is her Ultra II) shows a full meter as well.
I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!
