First, relax man, its just a discussion.

I almost quit reading there because of the giant fallacy to call my state of mind into question.

we disagree. that doesn't mean I'm not relaxed.

I understand completely that consoles are available all over the place, even Walmart has them, go figure! Simply because they are available doesn't mean everyone has the means to get one. Obviously you dont have those limitations when it comes to funds, but some of us do.

Oh BS it's preference.

There is no one in the whole world who can afford a PC that runs sfiv but can't afford a (cheaper) console that does. It's just a matter of whether or not you are truly a fan of the franchise or you're just picking it up because it's out on your system.

And I already said I am FAR from rich. It's not easy for me to shell out for anything, but if it's something I care enough to whine about, I instead make it happen.

I budget and save up for the things I enjoy instead of demanding someone cater to me.

What about the people who want it to come out on their cell because they can't afford a PC or consoles? Would you see there point too?

Why are half the posts in this forum about people feeling ripped off because they have to pay for things. Don't get me wrong, I hate food. Food is BS, I buy it, eat it, and then it comes out the other end and I have to eat again. Why did GOD rip me off!!!!!

Seriously, if you doesn't want to buy a new game don't. SF4 can still be played after the new game comes out.

Why did no, change his name to dude elizondo?

Oh he must have read my post about changing his name before bragging about his habit of bending over again...

I said make a new account! I did not say change your account's name...

Oh well.

The official statement makes me very very worried.

I too, bought the PS3 edition, followed by the PC edition.  PC is just so much better to look at lol, but this is the problem with the official statement ya see.

"Super Street Fighter IV is slated to ship in spring of 2010 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Look for more on the game in the coming months."

This is the official statement, NO PC VERSION.

WTF for real?

Sadly enough it is a console version only, no Arcade or PC versions in mind which is so sad for Japanese EVO players and the Arcade fighting community. At least with namco, they release all of their iterations of Tekken in the Arcades first then console, with the exception of Soul Caliber 4.

Be funny if you can't use old DLC outfits in the new game, but seriously... what DLC (that's already on the disc) do you think they will make us pay for this time?

A third outfit for all chars? Or just outfits for the new chars?

Considering the fact that a lot of people are going to skip over SFIV entirely and jump into SSFIV at a discounted price, I'm almost positive that the "Special Unlock" for keeping your SFIV disc will be the alternate costumes for free in Super.

I'm like 99.9% sure capcom is going to want to charge for these outfits again, but for all the people that own the original (costimes purchased or not) you will probably unlock the alts from the original.

That is about the only thing I can come up with as a "Nothing big, but worth it" reason for keeping the original disc.

This also doesn't say how steam versions would handle this, but then again -- no mention of a PC release for SSFIV, which is just terrible.

If that is true - those who have the original disc would be treated to Free costumes - what would happen to those who actually pay for the costumes? I, for one, didn't pay for those silly costumes because it was absurb for Capcom to be charging in the first place. Anyway, so if I kept my SFIV disc and been treated to free costumes being that I didn't pay then what incentive does the ones who paid get? I am curious to see what Capcom is going to do or what incentives we may get because either way one of us is going to get the worse end of the stick.

Based on the arcade release, the game's been out for a year and 3 months, which is more than the usual amount of time before an arcade game in Japan usually get's a revision/sequel.

The Arcade version shouldn't be in the equation, yes common sense said it should be but it shouldn't for one reason only. This version is exclusive to the consoles and there is no arcade port in mind, Ono San said so in his review which is shocking for me. So now the divide is multiplied for individuals like Diago who only trains on the arcade ports, won't ever get a chance to play the Arcade version of the game so he has a huge disadvantage at EVO tournaments if he refuses to practise on the console version.

If he doesn't play on the console version for his "training" then why would that philosophy change at EVO? He is at no genuine disadvantage. He has the same ability to buy a home version and an arcade stick. He chooses not to. Don't pity him or encourage his willing stupidity (yes I am going to be that bold in saying that). A disadvantage is when a player has access to tools that you do not. Daigo has no less access to a console, an arcade stick and a copy of this game than anyone else. Sounds like this thread needs some exposure to that destructoid list on how to STFU about Super Street Fighter IV.

Im thrilled that its not been done only for DLC! what about all the people that dont use DLC why should they miss out on SSFIV just because some dont want to pay for it and its not even going to be full price.
