Come on, people, lets get Elena into SSFIV!!!!!!

Time to get an African lady in the mix...time to see some capoiera for that matter.  Geez, if that isn't unique enough, right?  An African with a Brazilian based martial art.  Come on...not all of the young gals have to be Japanese...there's already Sakura and then most likely Ibuki, if there's another spot, why not Elena?  I mean, in a way, she's in tune with the Japanese, being an exchange student there and later will study in Paris and is still in touch with her African roots (i.e. she's an interesting, diverse character).

Storywise, you can have her looking for her friend Narumi, who's traveling from country to country with her father who's a busy businessman.  Elena misses her and figures out that street fighting would be a good excuse to get out in search for her and also get money to help for tuition...something like that.  Rivalry-wise, I could see that as a little girl she might have visited Brazil with her well traveled father and he might have told stories to her about a "jungle boy" roaming around.  Her rivalry scene could start with a hostile encounter with Blanka which Elena softens up with her charm and friendliness.  Something sweet like that.  Getting Blanka caught off guard...but they'll still fight a friendly battle of course.  Beauty and the beast kind of thing.  With Makoto (the one I feel is the main roadblock for Elena's inclusion perhaps, but don't get me wrong, she's an awesome character as well) you got the same thing of a young japanese girl trying to be a great fighter or trying to save her dojo...something like that.  I'd just look to Sakura for that maybe...maybe her alternate costume if you want a short haired japanese girl with a gi...I don't know.  Whatever her relation with Ibuki isn't set as a main plot device either.  it might even be more interesting if Makoto wasn't there yet and Sakura and Ibuki had something to say to one another at this time.  You know...maybe put Makoto in the next title after Ibuki establishes herself a bit.  Being a young ninja, perhaps trying to prove her worth, wouldn't an encounter with Vega, Gen, or Guy be more beneficial to her character right now than concerning herself with a teenaged peer like Makoto?  But anyway, Elena should definitely get a spot right now, in my opinion.  Please capcom, make it happen...

Again, this is just my opinion, and I hope Makoto fans don't take offense.  I'm also a Makoto fan myself, but I just feel the timing for Elena is better for right now.

stop with all the el fuerte hate, hes a cool character to play with. guy is also cool he only plays similar 2 guy because he has a command run. so based off a command run hes a copy??....ok. none of his moves look anything like guy's and its not like he's a ninja. he's a good alternative for the grappling fans who dont really like playing with zangief or abel, and as a said b4 he's just plain fun, so please.....

btw........dudley ftw

To be honest, Fuerte is more of KOF Ramon ripoff than Guy.

How can you guys say El Fuerte is anything like Guy?  People who say this are the people who SHOULDN'T be deciding who is in SSFIV.  What, because they both have a dashing move?  Every character at least has one move someone else has.  Guy is all about rushdown, and waiting for his combo opportunity through his rushdown or an enemy mistake.  El Fuerte is all about taking advantage for a fallen opponent with his mindgames.  He has a lot less stamina, so he needs to keep them on the ground as long as he can (which he has the tools to do with a little luck).  They play nothing alike.

If you broke down any character, you can see they all have similar moves.  What really matters is how they play with all their moves combined (not just special moves).

On the topic of adding more females, I don't want more females just to have more females.  I'd rather have good characters (female or not) that fit, bring variety, and aren't part of the lame SF characters in the past.

Same goes for adding a character for a country/martial art.

I made my vote but the poll picture is too cluttered. Is there an enlarged picture of it?

Ibuki's votes are a bit cut off.

Exactly what Elena would bring to the table with the bonus of country/martial art uniqueness.  Perfect.

Elena for SSFIV!!!!

I want the return of the accessory characters. Remember Karin's butler,Dhalsim's wife and Poison? They were there to watch the fighter they support. I want to see Eliza with her son watching Ken fight while playing as Ken.  I want to see Kei, panicking like crazy while Sakura was fighting. I want to see Blanka's mom cheers while her son fights. I want to see Karin's butler having a frying pan hit his head before karin fights.

Allthough it won't really change the gameplay much. It sound's like a fun idea to have. I would support that but only as an added extra if they have time for it.

Yes, Fuerto is nothing like Guy. Just because both have a command run doesn't make them the same. Heck Ryu, Ken and Gouki all three have a Haduken, a Shouryuken and a Tetsumaki Senpu Kyaku but they are pretty changed arn't they.

Guy is 10x cooler and Fuerte is nothing but a cook. I'll cook him with Guy when he comes in SSFIV.

I guess we want Guy so badly that we point out any seeming similarities between the two characters and use that as an excuse to flame El Fuerte and demand guy.

Honestly Fuerte isn't a bad character, I just think Guy is a better character overall and I would have loved to see him in the game.

Bring back Ibuki already! You know we want her!

We are all ready and waiting for a new Capcom Crossover Fighting Game with the SFIV treatment!

After all these years I'm still amazed at how many people don't know what buffering is.

You can't cook a truly delicious match if your main ingredient is SPAM!
