1. Didn't have the cooking skills of a 16yo Japanese girl in one of those love triangle manga/anime.
2. They didn't make said cooking skills the centerpiece of his storyline.
I totally agree.
3. He didn't have moves named after food.
An ignorant and stereotyped move, by the JP devs. But if you hate that, you should hate the 75% of the SF characters.
4. He didn't shout the names of his moves out during his matches.
Usually it's annoying, but widely accepted in fighting games and other media. But he's a luchador, which is similar to a wrestler. And, just like Shawn Michaels pointed out, wrestling is all about exaggerated and flashy attitudes (involving shouting and waving hands a lot).
5. He played a bit more like a Street Fighter character.
I couldn't disagree more.
First of all... what do you mean by "like a SF character?" He has Ultras, Supers, EXs, FA, jab, strong, fierce and 3 kicks too. That makes him a SF and a SFIV character, period.
If you mean that you'd like to see something less original, some character with a moveset that doesn't stand out like Elf's (or Viper's)... well, you're asking for the game to be worse.
Variety is good! Keep creating original characters, Capcom!
Fuerte's moveset is an interesting take on the command run to command move type deal first seen with Guy. IMO, the only annoying thing with his is how weak he seems as the second lowest tiered character in game. All he needs is some balancing to make him viable in competitive play.
I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game! http://is.gd/2iSgG

Dudley, Ibuki, Makoto, Adon, Cody, Guy and new character Hakan (Arabic grappler obsessed with oil) are rumoured to be in SSf4 along side with already confirmed three characters Juri, Dee Jay and T.Hawk
...and a beat more : ...Dudley was searching for his car in Third Strike, in this game hes searching for a rose. T. Hawks storyline involves him protecting Juni or Juli. Dhalsims new Ultra is called the Yoga Shangrila. ...now thats all know as of now...offcourse all those info is just a RUMOUR so i hope not to be flamed...please respect others giving you info, being it factual or fake...
and more : ...Dudley has his Chain combos from Third Strike, plus one additional Chain combo. Cody is the only character with an Alpha Counter and he still has his knife. He supposedly needs his knife to perform one of his Ultras. Rufus can cancel-break the last hit of his Spectacle Romance, or the launch kick of Space Opera Symphony. Guy has his Chain combos. Makoto has her Tanden Renki Super from Third Strike. Zangief is said to have a 720 degree motion Air Ultra called the Siberian Blizzard.
also some more important info : ...Theres a new gameplay system called Tadan Saving, the phrase implies a multi-hitting or multiple-level Focus Attack. Expect the return of the many familiar Supers, and a few new ones like Metsu Shoryuken. Youll see the return of Chun-Lis Kikosho (Super Fireball), Goukens Denjin, Sagats Tiger Cannon (Super Fireball). Ibuki has a run command. Guile has his Sonic Hurricane move from Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
another rumour is that every character in game will have two Ultras instead of one, one of which rumoured to be airial ultra...and they will be both available at the same time, not like it was in SF3, but supers still unchanged, so one for all characters (besides Sakura)...gen character will have four ultras, because of two fighting styles, one of each will be aerial...
I just wish El Fuerte's story was slightly more serious like maybe proving luchadors are the best wrestlers or the strongest like E Honda was out to do in SF2 but the whole ultimate recipe thing doesnt work for me
hes like the second mexican char. And honda is amongst a ton of japanese chars, so his might stand out more lame than hondas. The thing is that if they were more variety, it would balance out better. Chars out that culture havent been expose well, so the expectation is a bit high. I agree his story should more serious tho.
Scorpion from Saturday Night Slam Masters for Super Street Fighter 4 and to replace El Fuerte.
I always thought Ono should have put in El Scorpion, instead of stereotypical El Fuerte. The biggest problem I have from the story of ELF standpoint, is the whole wanting to be the best cook... via entering a street fighting tournament. Campy
