Seth for me was one of the easiest boss in SF...in fact he was the easiest boss in all SF games Sagat in SF1 wasd brutal, Bison in SFII was okay, Akuma in SSFII was just cheap and broken, Gill was kinda a pain for me but Setj was easily beatable with some strategy that always trapped him so seeing him getting buff is a good thing I might play Arcade mode a little more now 'cause the AI in this game sucked! |

Hey that would be great if like, everyone in the class failed. Unfortunately though, Seth has been beaten by many people on all levels, and not just your Daigos of the world. Everyday people have done it! Just like in real life though, some are bound to fail. It's always fun to blame outside circumstances for personal failure and lack of ambition and dedication (as if it took any of these things to beat Seth, which just makes the personal failure that much more exaggerated).

No, you misunderstand utterly. Seth as he stands at the moment is pretty much a binary boss- either you figure out his flaws in which case he's basically very easy, or you don't, in which case he's borderline impossible. Whilst that's not a great state of affairs, it does just about satisfy the criteria for a boss, in that at first you find him a bit tricky, but eventually (which can be a pretty variable length of time) you figure him out. It certainly does take at least some 'dedication' to beat him for a lot of people, by the way, it takes a little time to pick up on his weaknesses. Now, if you look at most of the bosses on the list in the wiki link above- those guys are a whole different ballgame. In most cases, there's practically no-one who can reliably beat them because they're designed to be flat-out impossible. Often it's a case of there being say, one attack said boss has that can be reliably countered/punished and it's literally a question of trying to stay alive and hope they do it- and that's largely random. For some of them you even have to counterpick. You might think that this isn't relevant to Seth, and that's probably true. But consider this (hypothetical) Seth. All the same moves but he: *Never pokes with his Standing Fierce unless it's a certain hit *Never jumps *Teleports behind followed by SPD or SRK whenever any attack is thrown that it can avoid and counter *Counters any and all pokes with EX multikick or SRK *Walks towards the opponent at all times and uses SPD as soon as it's in range I've practically played against that AI in some games, most notably MKII. It's a very effective way of forcing people to feed arcade machines until their wallet is empty or they have an attack of common sense. It would also make Seth every bit as annoying as Ono seems to be suggesting he might be. And for a lot of people, it would ruin or at least greatly reduce their enjoyment of SSFIV. |

I beat Seth several times on Hardest difficulty last night so yes it has been done. haha But yeah for SSF4 they are probaly going to give him moves of the new characters and give him a whole new set of cheap moves, but once you know what's coming everyone will get used to it and he'll be easy again. Well that's the theory anyway... |

All Seth needs, is Sagat's Tiger Knee with the same properties that is has now/in IV.
I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!

I want a Seth clone styled Mokujin(tekken), Unknown(tekken tag), marionette(Darkstalker) and Shadow(Darkstalker). It a better way of doing handicap matches and add some mini mode on the Arcade matches or Versus mode.

My 12 years old sister beat Seth on Medium, with both Cammy and Sakura, a week after she started playing SF4 (not too frequently). She's never played another SF game, she's never played another fighting game, and she's barely ever played a videogame. Sure, she had some good advices from me, but that's all it took to her to beat him. So... why are we still talking about this? |

Wow people are really that good? I always found Seth cheap and close to impossible to beat on the hard diffuclty settings, not mention the fact that I have seen many threads outside of capcom unity saying he is extremely cheap, so capcom why buff him more? He already spams on those stupid lariats and teleports, I think seth is just fine. |
