Yea, I have no objection that the alpha story is done, fine, whatever. So was SF3. How did they fix that problem? They made sf4 a prequel to sf3 and nobody seems to mind and or give a ****.

Street Fighter 3 was set quite a bit ahead of Street Fighter 2 in the timeline and it never directly addressed the plots of the previous games (the most direct reference to the plot of previous games was Urien commending Chun-li for stopping "that organization" a while back, likely reffering to the downfall of Shadaloo). With the gap and lack of mentioning the previous games, there was enough potential to fit some installments in-between 2 and 3 in the timeline.

Its like with the with Alpha sub-series,  the gap between Street Fighter 1 and 2 left plenty of opprotuntities for games to be set in between them. Alpha 3 to SF2 however, I don't see what they could really do unless they omit Shadaloo from the plot and have it be more of a character development/side story game in terms of plot.

Good point, it would give them opportunities to try new idea's they wouldn't normally do.

I was thinking of a what-if scenario in which Ryu permanently became Evil Ryu, defeating both Bison and Akuma.  Ken would take over as the protagonist as he tries to save Ryu. Bison is alive, but do to the one sided battle against Ryu, Shadaloo disowned him and he swears to crush his own organization and finally Ryu. Akuma is alive to and just does what he normally does. Birdie can be the new head of Shadaloo as he set out to be in Alpha 3. Sakura is partnering up with Ken to go save Ryu.

Bison could recruit new underlings to help him take over his organization again, like a non-android Seth.

that would be cool. specailly since in order to get Ryu back you have to fight him as uber Evil Ryu which would be so epic. Akuma should be upset by his lose and becomes stronger through training and just pure anger becoming Shin Akuma.

Yeah, it would be really interesting to see a "Shin Ryu" as the standard final boss. Akuma obviously would desire a rematch, that's just how he is.

I wouldn't mind if they come out with the world tour again and multi play again. I would like that i just hope they make it balanced if they ever do because some of the things you can do is like WTF and they clearly have it that evil ryu and shin akuma are the most powerful and when you pick them sometimes its hard to beat really good people who use them. But otherwise i am fine with the way they have things.
