GSP anybody? Unfortunately, we've got Abel. And we can't have Peaty (AKA "the guy with the Canadian Destroyer" AKA "the guy who inspired my XBL GT") as wrestler representation has pretty much been handled by Big Z and Abel to a lesser extent.

I was on a SF fansite once uppon a time not too long ago where someone suggested an inoffensive Lumberjack-based Canadian fighter. That theming has potential, it's just a matter of how it would be handled by Capcom.

A Lu-mb-er-ja-ck?

This almost sounds desperate, if the lumberjack canadian got in they would want a new york police officer, a guy who works on an oil rig and someone who sells ice cream Yell

Is Bison a train driver or what???

No, he's a truck driver.  Didn't you see the SFII Animated Movie?  Loser.

America's representation

1: A muscle-head flat-top action-star Air Force Colonel (Guil)

2: The ole MIA military buddy (Charlie)

3: Colorful and rich martial artist (Ken)

4: Fat-guy biker with a skinny hot girlfriend (Rufus)

5: Heavy-weight African-American boxer (Balrog)

add in Final Fight guys and we get pretty much every action movie steriotype attributed to America.

The Street Fighters are pretty much expected to be over the top steriotypes

Is a Lumberjack the main Canadian stereotype???

And to compare an airforce pilot to a guy who cuts wood is a bit......Undecided

Canadian steriotypes (that could be fighters)

1: Lumberjack wearing a red and black plaid shirt and a red axe.

2: Hockey guy with maple leaf shirt

3: Mounty

4: bar-room brawler

5: mountain-man

6: Sasquatch

Because we all know, Capcom would NEVER have stereotypical characters.

Canada actually has some of the world's best Capoeirista's. Canada may not be Brazilian or African, but the American fighters have taken fighting styles from other countries. Even the Canadian military shares the same type of combat training as Americans.

Georges St. Peirre is also an incredibly popular MMA fighter who is Canadian himself. You might jump the gun and say that Abel covers MMA, but Georges' style is Kyokushin, Kick-boxing, Wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Fedor Vladimirovich Emelianenko is who Abel is based off of, and he does Judo and Sambo, which is pure grappling. MMA has so much potential and who better to represent Canada than one of the best MMA fighters?

Just give him the Kyokushin and Kick-boxing for main attacks and give the wrestling grapples as lesser moves. Kind of like Cammy.
