I definately want a more powerful female character. In the video from the 22nd it looks like Juri is another fast, low health character. (of course that could change) Even if they won't change the designs, they should at least vary the stamina, speed, and damage of the female characters more. My current favorate female to use is Cammy and I only use her if I'm willing to accept a greater chance of losing. |

I really Ibuki, Elena and Makoto from the SFIII series since these girls are real girl fighters. Doesn't matter if they're young as long as they can fight with the big boys and women. Also always to balance out things they have low HP and more combo's or high damaging supers.

Bingo! I like my SF characters to come across as being actual fighters. I'm sorry to say, but characters like Poison don't strike me as the type to go 1-on-1 in a fighting tournament. Sakura in her sailor uniform may be appealing to a certain crowd, but as a fighter I have a hard time taking the character seriously. Given that she is supposed to be in her early 20s I had hoped that Capcom would have given her a costume that was better suited to a fighter. If she's as serious about fighting as she claims, you would figure she would start to dress the part at some point (just my opinion of course). |

the ratio being even would be very nice, but that is the gender discrimination world that we live in. gotta hate it for what it is. live and let die |

Like we said in the SFIV Sakura Thread long ago. If we get an alternate gym teacher uniform like in the Sakura Ganbanru manga, it's better. But they sticked to the student gym uniform.
This image represents a more womanly Sakura in her early 20's.

I agree with what was said about Ibuki, Makoto and Elena being legit, keeping it real fighters. Look at their age for a start and then look at Sakura. I know it seems theres a lot of Sakura hate recently but just look at the character. She's "supposed" to be in her early twenties, and she acts all goofy, running around in her school uniform acting like a horny teen around Ryu. I blame Capcom for this for putting her in to appeal to a certain crowd of people. They should develop her story. When Ryu was her age, he was kicking ass and beat Sagat. Sakura is nowhere near that level. Ibuki is younger than her and I would argue, a MUCH better fighter. The point is, Ryu and Ken have BOTH developed as characters, in terms of personality AND power as the games have progressed. Sakura has not. |

Excuse me? Where did you get that from? Elena is a cheering, world-wandering, carefree young lady who wants to meet new people and visit new places. Oh, and she studied some Capoeira too. Ibuki is a very young girl who's received intensive training, but wants to move away from that lifestyle. Makoto is a very young girl who's received intensive training, and is very dedicated to it. Poison is a street level criminal, raised in an orphanage, grown up in the street and finally found her place in a criminal organization (and later as a manager for a hulkling wrestler). She did all of that on her own, a "woman" in the middle of a gang of street thugs. Oh, also she's a man.
Of the 3 SFIII girls, only Makoto can be called an "actual fighter", and even she's hardly as tough as Poison is. |
