The reason they took the stun bar out because it wasnt needed. In street fighter 3 there was alot of special moves that worked off of stun like(ie) the electric hadoaken or eletric snake. These moves were an instant or half stun so people needed to know if there SA stunned them. In SFIV its a constant(or the moves are pretty close in stun value) so it is not needed. Also in Street fighter 3 you could be ready to attack after a super to keep the stun value increasingflowing to a stun. Some ultras have the cutscenes after so the meter would decrease during this time and it would make it hard to raise the stun bar to a stun.
Bring deejay back, He would fit right in with feilong

Punishing block should be the main job of throws not focus, which is why they need to be buffed as their too easy to stuff/ tech out of in this game.
LOL, you just described the second half of most SFIV matches.
I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!

im for it. Im sure CAPCOM would find a way to show stun bars without cluttering the screen. stun bars add more tactics; i mean, some attacks can have special stun propierties (like Zang headbutt), so you could choose between doing a combo for damage or for stun (that also happens currently; for some chars, when super meter is full, you can choose between combo into super for damage or combo FADCing a pair of specials for stun. But because there is no stun bar, most people are not aware of this). |

How the HELL WOULD THE STUN BAR CLUTER THE SCREEN? Just put the bar right under the characters health bar, bam! probelm solved. It's not like mvc2 were you were looking at 6 health bars and two super bars, and even so, that rarely confused players. Any way, they should bring the the stun bar. I also wish they brought back parrying, it's not my fault that these scrubs are too retarded to learn it. |

I like parrying too, but we gotta keep the game noob-friendly, if we want SF to become mainstream like Halo or Mario. What would be cool though, if the console version had an option to turn parrying on/off.

parries is a core game mechanic, you cant add it and then put an option to turn it off. but stun bars in the other way... it could be interesting to have an option to turn it on/off. this way, for those players who like to know how much stun they are doing they could see it, and for those players who doesnt care and prefer less bar, just hide it. so, yes, please add stun bars and an option to turn it on/off. |

Considering that getting stunned can lead to some of the biggest combos in the game, if a stun is in danger of happening, I want to know about it. Either add the stun meter, or take stun out. I would be fine with either. |

Seems like the verdict is in. People want stun bar!
Bring back Ibuki already! You know we want her!
We are all ready and waiting for a new Capcom Crossover Fighting Game with the SFIV treatment! After all these years I'm still amazed at how many people don't know what buffering is. You can't cook a truly delicious match if your main ingredient is SPAM! PSN I.D. SUNofNOTHING *SUN of NOTHING* |
