I'm surprised thy didn't put him on sf4.They resurrected Gen and Gouken from the dead they might as well bring nash back. Now in ssf4 they resurrecting adon too so you never know.Does Capcom pay attention to the story line of their games?
They always ignored Charlie's death in his endings in the Alpha series. Why should start paying attention them now. I still think it's messed up that they had him gunned down by an Apache helicopter which caused him to fall over a waterfall. Wasn't the Apache gunfire enough. Charlie's is the "Kenny" of Street Fighter. Poor guys seems to bite the big one in all of his endings.
When Abel said to Guile, "That move, I've seen it before." It could be possible he was talking about Remy.
As said, he means the soldier who took care of him after he lost his memory. And if i remember right i read somewhere once that Guile and Charlie (and now Seth) are the only ones that can do the Sonic Boom. So it's possible that it is Charlie. But is also possible that he could mean Seth as Abel is often reffered to being one of the weapons that Shadaloo created and that Abel has that in the back of his mind somewhere.
One thing is definite and I'll say it again before anyone thinks Charlie is Abel...Charlie is not Abel. Oh and here is what Matt Moylan from UDON had to say about it. Matt also worked closely with Capcom of Japan to gather info for SFIV and what they needed for their series.
Fan:
Anyone think Abel is Charlie?
Matt Moylan:
Abel is definitely not Charlie in the comics or in the game.

I haven't heard anyone say they think Charlie is Abel. But fair enough.
Charlie has cheated death a few times and with the destruction of the shadowloo base in SFA3 it didnt say Charlie died. Gouken was presumed dead maybe he survived the shun goku satsu because he didnt have many sins and just took a beating because with that move in particular it really uses your past sins to do the most damage plus Bison was also presumed dead in SSF2T when Gouki used the same move on him but alas hes still alive. Adon is presumed dead because he according to his ending in SFA3 found Gouki and fought with him. I cant see him beating Gouki but the fight might have gotten interrupted why cuz Adon was in Sagat's SFIV prologue. So I think Charlie has a good chance of making it back alive if he is though I think this should be the final hurrah for him and Bison so they can finally close this chapter of Street Fighter and move on

Because around the time SFIV was coming out, there were threads and posts always questioning or stating "I think charlie is da abel!"

The simple fact is that Akuma just didn't kill Adon. Akuma doesn't kill EVERYONE he fights. He simply wins no matter what. If an opponent is weak enough that he can defeat them without even having to use the Satsu no Hado, then they're not likely to die while fighting him. That's why a weaker opponent like Adon actually stands a better chance of survival because Akuma won't bother to use his lethal techniques on him.
