Uh, no. From nowhere in the game can you come up with such a conclusion, much less his ending. He was cared for by a mercenary team whose leader was like a father to him.

Personally I think they should just kill Guile off and permanently replace him with Charlie/Nash... Since Street Fighter was released 1991 I've always found Guile to be one of the most obnoxious characters in fighting game history and when Alpha came out I was like FINALLY... they replaced the douche with a less annoying counterpart, But later shoved him right back in our faces.
I know it's never gonna happen but that's one thing they should change in SSF4. It's already bad enough that most people abuse "THE TURTLE KING" but to have to put up with his annoying personality when playing against him is just nauseating. I hate to say it but I'd even much rather see him replaced by Remy.
Nahh man! As a Guile fan i'd be sad to see him go! But think about it, Charlie and Guile's specials and general fighting style are both very similar so to get rid of Guile and add Charlie wouldn't make a difference as people would just use Charlie to turtle with instead. But it would be cool to see Charlie come back aswell even if he is similar to Guile...haha

No I understand... It's just my opinion on his character. I am completely aware that if Charlie was in the game people would turtle with him just as much. Im just saying it would be less irratating dealing with Charlie vs dealing with Guile. Plus I kinda always liked Charlie's character design.
And as far as bringing him back in the game with Guile already in it, I think It would be a complete waste of a fighter slot. I'm completely baffled of the fact that I go through this forum and I see people asking for Dudley, Mike Haggar, Juni/Juli, etc... I don't understand it! I like Dudley as much as the next person but why would you even consider putting him in the game when hes just a non-charge version of Balrog. Please people if your gonna ask for more characters pick ones that are at least original. And PLEASE!!! absolutely "NO MORE SHOTOS"

I don't hate Guile, but he doesn't really have much personality. Charlie however, does.

Even guile's wife said it. why the hell Capcom want to bring back? you're better off replace charlie and guile with Remy, at least he was an indepth move list, NOT two stupid moves like they did with Guile, or when the added another useless move to Charlie in a failed attempt to make him different from Guile.

I think they mean in terms of gameplay he is. But, if that was the case, I should be able to play Guile but I can't, yet I can play Charlie??

Charlie always had a cool design and he is heavily involved with Guil'es storyline. I'd say the same amount that Gouken is with Ryu and Ken, and Gouken got a SF4 spot. I think if they could make them very different it would be great. I know a lot of people would main and fave Charlie.
