I've recently started using Honda a lot and would love this option. I do pretty good in most matchups but I haven't figured out a good way to close the distance against Ryu's and Sagat'. If you do the butt splash to get by a fireball you're getting raped when you land. |

I've tried giving a Honda main a go lately and sheesh. When you compare it to Gief lariat or any of the fireball options other characters have I'm slightly annoyed EX-headbutt isn't already killing fireball.

In all honesty this is one of the things that caught me off guard with SFIV. It really seemed like the people that made SFIV were watching the forum on HDR and heard all of the scrubs claiming Honda got overpowered in HDR. I think he did get the biggest bump, but overpowered... that's going too far. I used to be one of those scrubs BTW. I would definitely say that he shouldn't be able to two-in-one into his Ultra from a fireball killing headbutt though!

I am sure they will tweak every character. I have a feeling that the reason they did not give honda an ex fireball eater is that David Sirlin wanted that move in HD REMIX. I think Capcom wants to get away from Sirlins ideas for street fighter. I would love it if they interlaced HD REMIX moves and command movements into SSF4 along with some other games. Time will tell. |

It still works on Sagat, and he's so damn tall that it's easier to get him once you're get in. I used to main Honda a bit, and personally I find him to be one of the easier characters to use to fight against Sagat, especially if all they want to do is spam fireballs all day. Also the fact that Sagat is somewhat slow, at least in terms of dashing, the cheap buttsmash cross up works wonders if you want to be cheap and as long as you're smart enought to time it. Just have to be patient and inch your way closer.

Ex>fireball is a must. Also the ability to "walk" while using non Ex Hundred Hand Slap would be good.

No offense, but this seems like an overreaction and I'm hearing a lot of things that just aren't true for Honda. The guy is good enough without needing a way around his only real weakness. Also, whoever said he has trouble with cross-overs is just wrong, all he needs to do is hold back and as the opponent crosses over his head hit punch (or two punch for EX), since the opponent crossed over, back becomes forward and completed the headbutt motion allowing for easy and instant reverse headbutt to beat out cross-overs. His jump-up HP covers distance surprisingly well, and you can always FA fireballs to build up free Ultra, then get in close and Ultra through the fireball spam. His jump and HP covers great distance too, so inch close enough and then jump early over the next fireball and j.HP into whatever into hands into that kick or super or FADC Ochio throw. And whoever said Zangief lariat as a response to fireball... yeah, lariat is not a good response to fireball spam at all. Its only use is to build up bar from a distance so he can use EX green hand. Honda can do roughly the same thing by whiffing Ochio throw in the corner. I think what I'm trying to say is I'd like Rufus to have a projectile so I don't have to chase people all over the screen, but it ain't gonna happen. He has enough other options, can't have everything. If they were going to give EX headbutt a way to go through fireball it would at least have to be a 1-hit shield added that way it could still be countered by EX fireballs. Honestly the move is already one of the highest priority moves in the game, makes it impossible to cross him up in the right hands and does good damage and block damage.
