i think it would be awesome for team battle to be in the game. i mean KoF neccssary didn't start the whole team battle thing they just make it the main focus of the game. Team battle could be another mode where you can choose up to 3,4,5 or 6 character into one team then just battle it out until one team wins. it reminds me a lot of the EX series since it had that mode.
yeah it whud totally help add some replayability to the game..because SFIV is one of the thinnest games i've ever played in terms of content
Because I don't like team battle and neither do the majority of street fighter players I have encountered.
So from the data that is available to me, it's throwing away development resources on something without much of a return on that investment.
Everyone I know or have even heard about likes to pick a main and get as good as possible with them, not train 3 people.
the development resources invested would be minimal...
...This adds value to the game, specially for casual players. Currently, SFIV lacks this. Casual players dont like getting their **** handed online.
Sounds like you want something that's just slapped together last minute.
Yeah, slapping together crap at the last minute "adds value" lol.
SF already delivers exactly what everyone expects. Casuals can beat each other up fine without going online. They already like that idea, it's why they bought the game. It's what pops into their head when they think "Street Fighter"

I think people who voted no at first just didnt think about it thoroughly.
There is no reason at all to not implement a Team Battle Side mode offline (I understand online is another issue, and more subject to debate).
Im pretty sure those nay-sayers would be the first ones playing it with some friends/brother/sister/girlfriend/parents!!!!
FYI it's actually possible to "think about it" and still disagree with you.
There are good reasons not to add it.
And I would not be the first one playing it with anyone. I wouldn't even play team battle mode in cvs2, I played 1 on 1.
Nice triple-post
How is it that Tekken series has been able to pull it off on top of all of the other features they add to their games. We arent asking for somthing impossible that would require complete overhaul of the game engine. Fact is Street Fighter is a great game and my favorite fighting series but unless you are very good or enjoy getting beat online there isnt much else to do in the game offline. The only reason Ive heard against it is that KOF did it first.

Tekken has been coming out regularly.
Street Fighter is struggling, we couldn't even get unique character stages.
No comparrison.
This is the ONLY non-biased reaon I'm against it (the other is personal preference), because work on tag-teams would take away from work on something else. We are already dreadfully short on resources.
If we had infinite resources, or even "a lot more" resources, I'd say why not, sure, go for it.
But we don't we already have pretty effing major things being left out so I say get the fundamentals in before worrying about ripping off some random element that was never associated with your franchise.

Im not a game developer so forgive my ignorance but I don't see how being able to pick a 2 ot three man teams and fight matches without going back to the character select screen everytime so labor and cost intensive that it cant be done given the success of Street Fighter 4. I think you are over looking the fact that the reason that Tekken has been coming out regularly and has been successful is because it took chances, added more features, and made it fun for hardcore and casuals. Have you ever tried to talking to a gamer who got int fighters at Tekken 3 and try to sale them as to why the should get into Street Fighter. Their level of expectation as far is content is so high and this is the market Capcom has to grab. All I'm saying is adding another feature wouldnt hurt as long as it doesnt hurt the overall product.

I agree with that, I just think it would hurt the overall product.
Workload is workload, sure this one thing sounds easy. stages sounded easy too and they didn't have time for that.
There is a deadline and other things need attention, or run over.
and it's not just this, there are 100,000 requests that are "simple", "quick" or "easy" that are all piled on top of each other to create a monster. Can't do em all, therefore you have to pick some to trash.
The way you are describing it (as I said) sounds quick yes, and also extremely rushed, unpolished, and thrown-together. That too hurts the final product. How soon would it be before every reviewer online was comparing this shoddy team mode to the more robust team modes found in other games?
Do it right or don't do it at all. Doing it right takes a lot of resources.
Doing it wrong may be quick and easy like you say but hurts the brand.
