I think that 40$ is too much for an update  of a game we already have.I think is more than enough plus the game comes out the same month as GOD3...I say that's just bad marketing.

We bought some costumes for $20 (Don´t know about you, but i did), and you think $40 is to much for 8 or 10 characters, new stages, new game modes, fix of the net code for online play, prob'ly bonus stages, new ultras and rebalance of the characters? ask for a less price is been selfish, people who make this game needs to eat and pay bills tho... Yes it will come out the same month as God of Crap 3 but Street Fighter got a huge fan base who will buy this certainly, and sure must of us who already got the first version is goin to buy this new one tho... when this game arrive to my country i would have to buy it for 420Bs for sure, thats like $136 and i will go to the store pay it and then i will run to get home fast and really happy... This month will prob´ly comes out Castlevania and Final Fantasy XIII tho, Those are the other 2 of my 3 fav game´s, so if i know what games i want and the release date, i just have to save some money until then...

That said, releasing when God of War III releases is really rough

Double-whammy!.....

yea but at least they are different type of games. I'm going to get gt5 and ssf4 so I'll have the best fighting game and best racer when I feel like switching it up. Then of course the most anticipated release of GOW3 lol..yea that will probably affect sales but hopefully not too much. I want to have a lot of opponents online

I wouldn't pay more than $30 because I already own more than half the game so I don't want to pay more than half the price.  I understand that it takes a lot to make games but SFIV sold well and they should treat the fans well also.

Excuse me,  how do you know how much of the game you already have?

Kotaku's saying Gamestop is reporting 39.99.

I'm ticked about the PC situation and I don't like it either way.  I could see 29.99...

What it really boils down to for me is...

A) If it's just a upgrade that PC users are being screwed out of 39.99 is to high.

B) If it's really a new game worthy of 39.99 it's to soon.

Capcom already has a bad rep of milking franchises and I'm sick of this whole industy transition to games as service that you have to constantly pay for.

If you can't milk subscription make them buy a new version every year, and screw around and stagger what consoles your going to support.

I really think they should have just called this SF5, because people are being blinded by the word "update".

We don't even know everything that's going to be in this game yet.  But from the limited info we do have, SSF4 already has as much new content as the average (full priced) fighting game sequel.

No one complains when new Tekken games come out with a WHOPPING 3 NEW CHARACTERS!!!  WOW!  3 extra characters every 2-3 years!

Try 8 new characters in 1 year.

Not to mention an online overhaul, additional stages, new moves for old characters, complete rebalance, possible bonus stages, new intros and endings, new story, and whatever other stuff they have up their sleeves.

Way more content than a mere update.

And, honestly, who gives rats tail whether it's DLC or disc if the price would be similar?  Why is that even an issue?

Because a full physical copy has more production costs than DLC and a simple title update means the end user isn't buying the same basic product twice.

39.99 is a decent price, but who know that it might come with costumes of the new characters. Plus I already reserved it at Gamestop.

Just remember to think about us when it's our turnLaughing

good points, ...and a lot of people care if it's dlc or disc. Some people don't have internet so the only way they could play is to get the disc, also those who never bought sf4 would have to buy it and then buy the update too if it were dlc just to play ssf4 (they'd be spending more money). You also can't trade in dlc or sell it so there are many reasons why having a disc is much better than dlc. I'm glad Capcom made the right choice and made it to disc (I'm surprised its not full price so that's nice) rather than listen to retards that want it dlc lol
