I'm making this thread more for the fun of discussion what a PSP edition would be like more so than demanding one(not to say I wouldn't want one).

Things I would like to see if this was made would be:

  • Survival Mode implemented
  • Kumite 100 implemented
  • Possibily 2 additional returning characters added to the roster

One of the biggest issues a number of people have against this part of the Street Fighter series is the strong lack of familiar faces. Now, if 2 more character were added into the roster, I think they should be well thought out not upset the mood/atmosphere of this game. Let's have some fun thinking of the best two who would fit well.

My choices:

Sagat - Thinking about it, aside from SF3, Sagat has been in every major Street Fighter game along with Ryu and Ken. Making use of his epiphany in his ending of Street Fighter IV, we could have a changed Sagat from the personality of his we are accustomed to. His rival fight could be against Urien, who reminds him of his former self and decides to try and knock some sense into him. His ending could be hanging out with Ryu, reminiscing over old times and how by contrast, their relationship is completely different from his murderous hate for Ryu.

Eagle - Eagle's profile in Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max states that he wishes to fight against every single fighting style at least once. He noticed that the fighting scene has filled up with new faces and joins in with hopes of also encountering new fighting styles as well. He could have a rival match against Elena, who's fighting style and mindset towards fighting fascinates him. His ending could be him thanking Elena for teaching him something new about fighting and buying her a drink or something.

I would like to see GGPO netcode implemented over adhoc and infrastructure netplay.

Also, some form of shortcut system (that can be turned on and off) for those with the 1st gen fat PSPs with the bad dpads.

I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!

I did like setting the select button to instantly execute specials in Alpha 3 Max.

I'm surprised you didn't throw in the World Tour Mode from Alpha 3. I love that mode.  Other than that (and I wouldn't really care about new characters or returning ones) combined with what else you've said, I think the package would be pretty awesome. Maybe throw in some training/trials ala SF IV also?

Not to do the exact opposite of this thread though, but I'd pay good money for SF III on PSP.. barebones or not.

I would buy a bare bones port aswell. I was just thinking of a port along the lines of getting the Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max treatment. We have to admit, the game really didn't have much in the way of features(which says alot because of how often I play the PS2 port by myself).

I really think at least adding 2 additional returning characters would be important to help make the game more accecptable to SF3 haters(due to the roster).

if they released this on PSN for the PSPGO, with wi fi play, that would be full reason for me to buy a PSPGO right there.
