Chiaki Kuriyama have a movie titled scrap heaven, On that movie she was a crazy pharmacist who have a glass eyeball. She wants to destroy a whole city because she was bored.

Actually, when I first saw gameplay, Chiaki DEFINITELY came to mind. I love her <3


And aside from Rita Repulsa, Left eye reminded me of her too.

.................i can hear them singing it still,  the 2nd grade girls torchering me with that song, "I dont want no scrub!" all I did was give the cute little red headed girl a flower and her and her friends sang it to me and every other boy in school, they made my 2nd grade year living hell.

Erm, wasn't that Lisa chick inlfuenced by the whole Japanese anime scene in the first place? I doubt Capcom had her in mind when there are tons of other influences from anime

To be fair tho, she died while driving like a complete idiot and endangering everyone else on the road, and she had a bad habit of burning down her ex BFs houses....


Maybe "crazy _____" would have been better than "hated ______" but if the guy hates her he hates her.

Yeah, well, I wouldn't go so far for cultural references. I mean... who's this "Rita" people keep talking about? Where I live, that's just a common first name: it sounds like "Guile is obviously inspired to Bob!" I even saw a picture and a brief video and I have no idea. I wonder if the devs know her either. People have been talking about possible inspirations for Juri's hair since she was announced. Comes out that her hairdo just isn't that uncommon.


So far, the most likely character to inspire Juri is probably Jolyne Kujo. 1st, because unlike all the other examples, her hair looks exactly like Juri's (not just the "sidehorns", but the fringe too). 2nd, because she's from a Japanese media, and so more likely an inspiration for JP devs. 3rd, she's from JoJo's Bizarre Adventures, a (brilliant) manga that also inspired Guile's hair and the whole character of Rose.


That "left cybernetic eye" makes me wonder, though...

Juri does not list Left Eye as an influence, she also said she doesn't even play a musical instrument nor sing.
