Didn't Street Fighter II and the Alpha games have the DOB's for most characters? I think if Ryu were alive today, he'd be in his late 30's by now?

I don't know how "canon" that is, but according to that Ryu would actually be 46 by now. |

That is correct, he'd be in his mid forties today.

soo the Sf2 character are around the same age (28-35) minus dictator and dalshim(40's) those two look old...gouli.gouken and gen are around the same ages (55-65) sakura & cammy (19-22) so if third stike character are gonna come which is 5 years after ssf2 mean your favorite character gonna be in there teens( eleina, makoto & ibuik) |

Meaning: That the game might not factor into SFIV's canon or at least its timeline In fact, what I think will happen is that SFIII's plotline and timeline will be ignore entirely.
Moreover, I think SFIII characxters will follow SFIV's new beginning and only reference SFIII when needed Note: This is all based on what Yachunori Ono said 'bout SFIII's timeline being set in an alternative universe.

Wow can I get a link to that? Very surprising. He's bent on continuing from where ever SF4 leaves off and disregarding SF3.

That's a way old interview, and Ono-san was being very stand-offish to Gamespot because back then only Viper had been recently announced. A lot has been said and learned after that interview, including his giving Famitsu and its readers a short refresher course on Gill and Urien shortly after Seth and S.I.N.-sha was announced. Thus far, nothing in SF4 has thrown SF3 to the winds, and I doubt that SSF4 won't follow in its footsteps. |
