lol I knew that some people would disagree with me in here. But I will ask you to stay correct. First I didn't insult anyone (I was hard with seth character designer, but he went too far :p), and I am very gratefull for the work they are doing. I am expressing a point a view that isn't only my own. I'll give you that another way. I don't care about new characters (as a matter of fact the character that I like are all in this one). I don't care about the story mode (SF4 story mode was lame, but it took me 3 hours to finish it all, the real deal is playing with people). but as good as SF4 might be there are several gameplay and balance problems, and I want that to be improved (and I assure you I'm not the only one). I think that this should be a DLC, and that we should have the choice between free content (all the fighting system upgrades), and the rest. |

I'm going to answer everyone :)
You seem to be a rude imbecile, so I'm just gonna ignore you.
I find your answer interesting so I'm going to explain why it should be DLC. What you are refering to doesn't appeal to everyone. And some of those should be free. for example: * 8-10 possible new characters: I don't care, I have My favorite (I can be DLC that some would like to buy) * possibly enough new stages to represent all fighters in the game (which is A LOT): I don't care. * new music: I don't care (Just delete the theme song) * new moves: should be free * new ultras: should be free * gameplay tweaks and additions: game be DLC * new online modes: should be free
Hey pal we're not in the 80's anymore. That time was a complete rip off. The DLC costume were not, you don't like them, you don't buy them. It's simple. The problem here is that it will impact those who play SF4. They will stop working on it, so no more improves, less online quality, less players... So it's either you pay to keep what you had or you loose.
Yeah of course an action adventure game and a fighting game can be compared...
Wow pal, I'm really not hating them. You don't know me, if I hated them, I wouldn't be here. I thin they did a great job. Really, and I'd like that success to keep going. I think it's a problem for many people to see a 40$ extension one year after a game is out. I'm sorry people but it's true, there are several gameplay problems in the game, when you are serious about you game you correct that first. The stuff in SSSF4 should be implemented in sf4. And since I don't spend my life in here, I read this interview yesterday, so I commented about it today. You can have a look around, you'll see that this 40$ is a matter for a lot of people, because it's feels like this a great part of those improves should be given as an upgrade for SF4. What I see is the inability of some people to care about other. If this was a DLC you would have to pay for the parts that you like, and everyone would have the core improves that should be free. I can't understand how it can be a problem. |

ah man...why bother to continue this conversation in this thread??? its pretty uselless u know. many guys in here speaks some very good things about why the prefer a new disc instead of DLC. and they are absolutely right. its by far the best choice to be this game in a brand new disc than a DLC. if they launch it as a DLC probably will cost much more than 40$. think only the money that costumes costs. and ofcourse i think we have to congratulate them for how fast are they going to launch it.March and 40$ is divine! |

also, it seems that the first idea was releasing some DLC, but then they realized it was a better idea to release a new disc because of the amount of content they were planning. specially, it seems the new online mode wasnt possible to add as DLC. at least, thats what i listened... SSFIV and SFIV are indeed quite different games (if we believe CAPCOM about the new content). You are not just adding some side modes, you are changing the core of the game, so the best solution is to release a "new" game. of course, i can be wrong and all that content (and new online) could have been released with a huge DLC, but i doubt it... |

There are a couple of price point threads open, I don't see a reason for this thread. On top of that, it seems like the idea is not going well with the community.
I'm locking this.
Coming Soon: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Super Street Fighter IV, Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2, Bayonetta, Dark Void, Monster Hunter Tri |
