Just saw a snippet of the bland-tastic movie again and Maya's earrings confirmed it.

Cross earrings are not popular to begin with. So, why would Maya sport them if she wasn't Viper? Also, you know...Viper's real name being "Maya" and being a double-agent working for the CIA.

So much potential was wasted in this movie. :big sigh on behalf of Street Fighter fans:

I was thinking if the movie came straight to DVD or if it was released as like a Sci Fi channel movie (They make bad tv movies) atleast people might think "Hey this is pretty good for a straight to DVD film or made for TV movie." But no this movie was, "Why did you go through the trouble of making this?"

when I watch alot of syfy channel original movies I think, "why did they make this? and why is it so hard for my stuff to get published when there are people making movies out of garbage scripts?"

come one, a Hydra on an island killing people, a magical sword....which by the way Hercules never used a sword despite what this movie may say, and a character showing up just slightly wounded when a few seconds earlier they clearly implies he had been eaten by the Hydra (he was handcuffed to a boat, it showed up, and the next shot showed a large mansized area of blood.) the monster had in all previous kills dismembered its prey...plus many more plot holes.

heck the SF chunli movie was good compared to the none-sense they spit out every few months.

Haha I know. I guess its to raise the resume and there are hardcore loyal fans of sci fi that watch that stuff. I remember when I used to watch G4, I only watched one or two shows but you come to like a channel and you watch all the other crap that comes out.

Hey are you a director too? Im still working on my major but yeah Sci Fi channel movies and movies like Legend of Chun Li are actually GREAT and EDUCATIONAL for a film director. You sit there with a notepad and paper and write all the beginner mistakes that you never ever want to do in your career. ;)

I wouldn't want to be a director, I'm too much of a perfectionist, I'd want to film the same scene fifty times from fifteen different angles, and look over the shoulders of the FX team every step of the way. I am a writer in training (well waiting to get published).

I can pick out mistakes in movies pretty easily and think over how even small changes can make a world of difference.

for instance Legend of Chun-Li, the scene where Gen is in the sand making the YinYang with his feet. That scene would be good if not for the bad chi-ball effect following him around like a balloon on a string. If they had made instead it look like a mist that grew in strength as he focused, forming into a tight pulsing dot between his hands near the end before flying off as a fire ball with a tail like a comet, it would have worked.

I was watching the live action movie of Blood the Last Vampire last night, was picking apart mistake scenes, script elements that should have been tossed aside before the final form of the script, because some parts were great while others were terrible. a little clipping and re-shooting a few scenes and it could have been great.

If I ever get good at filming we should make a SF webseries or short fan film. Would be fun, well in theory. Takes money and extreme know how.

Yeah, sometimes I think I should go into film, just to make a good SF film.  I have some ideas, and I know I could make it into a good series if I had the know-how.  At least, it would be a million times better than what we've had so far.

Yeah, I don't know why they didn't just call her Viper in the movie.

I would love to make some SF action scenes, with some storylnie set up, but no actual long running storyline like Later Years had. Sagat vs Ryu, Ryu vs Ken, Mr Hibiki vs Sagat, etc Battles that we know of.
