Just letting you guys know because ya'll know its going to happen do you really want to waste your money on DLC? like many did for SFIV?

You know what?  You make a good point.  So you go on ahead and boycott SF4 for a couple of years until your sure it's the final revision.  Then hop in on that one.  That'll show em.

I don't buy pointless DLC. As in things that don't affect how I play so it doesn't bug me one bit. I did get the CE with down loadable costumes but I mostly got it for the other things it came with :3

Download able costumes =/= end of the world like most people dramatize.

Even if that's the case, so long as there is enough changes for a 3rd version to be considered a sequel over an upgrade, I don't see the problem. I'd much rather see them move to SFV after taking something like a Darkstalkers break.

Am I the only one who thinks a full retail game for Darkstalkers would see abysmally? (at least in the USA)

It certainly wouldn't tank if it was 3D, but I can't see it selling nearly as much as SFIV.

Only scrubs think 3rd Strike is the best Street Fighter of all time.

The producer stated this is the last Street Fighter IV game.

Where did he say this? Because he hinted a third SFIV was possible.

I keep hearing this and that he was joking on a 3rd version all over the place(like just messing around with the interviewer).

Isin't SSFIV THE! 3rd version of SFIV
1: SFIV arcade version

2:SFIV console version (More characters so it IS a different game)

3:SSFIV

Personally, I used to believe the way OP did, and in a way, I still do.
The fact is, after buying the first SF4, I told myself that if they started releasing a series of updates like they did for SF2 and SF3 and SFA that I'd stop buying SF4 until I was sure the last version came out.

But then they did something I didn't expect.

I was expecting their updates to be like they've always been in the past.  Another full priced $60 game, for an extra 2-4 characters.

But Super isn't that at all.  It's $40 for 10 character.  And for me, I decided I wouldn't pay more than $5 per new character.  But they did, so now I'm buying.

So you say, "How do you feel about paying for DLC", and I say, "Fine because they're charging DLC prices for it, and it's 3 times as much content as DLC".

So I don't know what your complaint is.  Unless you just really hate going to the store.  And if that's the case, you know Amazon.com will just mail that **** direction to you.

What does DLC have to do with SSFIV? It's a retail release.

DLC I dont think is as expensive as buyng a car. And if you bought a car the same time you bought SSFIV you wouldnt be buying another one until the next version comes out 2 or 3 years from now. What Im saying is, DLC is not that expensive that we'd wait 1-2 years for the final version to come out.

The DLC from SF4 is/will be enabled in SSF4, you won't have to rebuy costumes.
