Errrr....You Guys Do Realise There Is Going To Be Another Sequel After This Right?

Yeah, we all know that there will be a SF5 at some point, so what's you're point?

You must be refering to SF5 right, because it would be moronic to refer to an upgrade such as Super SF4, SF2 Turbo, SF3 Third Strike, etc, as a sequel since they aren't actual sequels just upgrades. Therefore you couldn't possibly be refering to another version of SF4, not without looking like an idiot that is.

Just letting you guys know because ya'll know its going to happen do you really want to waste your money on DLC? like many did for SFIV?

DLC? What has been announced as DLC in regards to this game? It's a retail disc release and no DLC has been announced for it, or are you trying to be "clever" saying that the content included in Super 4 is nothing more then what could be included in a DLC update?

I heard that too but I think it's a lie I think a new game will be anounced in the next 2 years just like 3rd Strike and Alpha 3

Except this is the third version of the game genius, not the second.

Before SFIV came to home consoles, it was stated in various interviews that the console version would be the 2nd Version of the game, like a SFIV Turbo, however they choose not to rename the console version of the game (to avoid confusion) just like Namco did with Tekken 6, ie the home console version of T6 is actually an upgraded version of the 2nd version of T6 (Bloodline Rebellion) but it works better from a marketing standpoint to just have the first console release of the game not include a subtitle or prefix thus it's plain ol' Tekken 6 on the box for the console version instead of adding Bloodline Rebellion or a new subtitle.

So to break things down in more simplistic terms for you, it's...

STREET FIGHTER IV

Version 1 - Arcade

Version 2 - Home Console

Version 3 - Super

...and if you want to get really super technical there are various versions of Version 1, ie 1.2, 1.3, etc, based on the different Arcade versions that were put out or updated while it was still in arcades. Tekken (along with others) does the samething, but it's only the super hardcore arcade players that ever refer to things like Tekken 6.1, 6.2, etc.

Am I the only one who thinks a full retail game for Darkstalkers would see abysmally? (at least in the USA)

Capcom USA (CEI) thinks the sameway.

When Ono was on the Top Secret podcast he said the US branch told him to not bother trying to do a new DS game because it wouldn't do well due to the poor sales of the PSP game and DS Collection on the PS2, where as every time a SF game was re-released (prior to SF4) they all seemed to do well, thus SF4 got made.

Another SF game after SSF4?  I hope so.  I'll reserve that too... Just curious, i see alot of complaints from people about this update, and many updates on games really.  Could someone explain to me why they feel these programmers should work for free?  I certainly dont think they should.

And someone mentioned DS?  I didnt get too into that in the arcades back in the day, but YES i would buy a new DS game.

It's not that these *** holes feel developers should work for free. But rather, they think they're being forced to buy updates because they have more content than the game they're already playing. And the funny thing is, a lot of them don't even play fighting games seriously. Why should they even care? If these guys want to miss out on better online modes and ten extra characters, they should just stick to SFIV and stfu. I don't get why that's so hard.

That's definitely overly harsh.  Mainly because in the past, Street Fighter upgrades HAVE been a total ripoff.  They just don't realize that THIS update is actually worth the money.

For example, for anyone who bought SF3, then bought Second Impact.  Congratulations, you paid 60 bucks for Hugo and a palette swap of the final boss.  You got boned.

MOST SF updates are like that.

This one isn't.

With Super Street Fighter 4 being released in early 2010 I hope for a Darkstalkers sequel late 2010 or early 2011 using the same game engine as SF4! If they do do a Hyper Street Fighter 4  it should be released late 2011 with alot of new content like SSF4 and this would have to be the last upgrade.....no more!!!!

Hyper Street Fighter 4 would be the ultimate mash up! This would be an all out battle between Alpha, SF2, & SF3 characters that fans have been wanting for yearsSmile (this would be the ultimate fan service game)!

While, I see Street Fighter 5 being on PS4 & Xbox 720 or something?, using a brand new engine,  not being out before 2013, and scrapping most of the SF characters and starting over again just like SF3!! I see them keeping the very popular cast like: Ryu, Akuma, Chun Li, Guile, Cammy, Sakura, & Ibuki and starting off with a brand new cast??? And if this is so fans may want a Hyper Street Fighter 4???!!!

The PSP game I believe was at fault of being a launch title & the target audience at that time for the unit was more interested in the 3-D power over 2-D fighters(not to mention the original d-pad sucked for 2-d fighters).

Anyhow, the only knownn DLC for Super IV is the original SFIV costume pack which is cross compatable.

You do realize that if they do release another update, it'll be because of fan demand once again right? Same way that alot of people were asking for one when IV came out (and the news that DeeJay and T.Hawk were worked on, but cut from the final game came out).

I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!

Exactly.

Ono originally said that the next game after SF4 would be SF5, but look how that turned out.

They'll continue to make SF4 updates as long as people keep buying them.

Don't want them to make HSF4?  Don't buy SSF4 and hope you aren't outnumbered by people that do.
