It doesn't really matter what you mean cause it's pointless. I doubt there will be another upgrade and even if for a small chance there is then so what? You saying not to buy dlc for the game? People will buy w/e they want. If the dlc costumes sold well in sf4 then that just shows you that dlc in sf will most likely sell well even if it's meaningless.


Threads like this are stupid, no offense. We hardly know anything about ssf4 and people are already talking about upgrades. If people still complain about the price or it being disc based, there's just something wrong with them.

that's what I thought, and don't worry Ono confirmed whoever bought the costumes won't have to buy them again in ssf4. As for those who never bought them in the first place...who knows. I'm hoping we get some useful dlc this time like stages, bonus rounds, maybe some new features...

DLC is a great tool for additional features. Im for it and i will pay for it.


but of course, im against locked features like the SFIV alt costumes. that was a cheap move from CAPCOM.


BUT they gave us championship upgrade for free, so im fine with them.


also, new SF iterations will depend on how good the last one sells. Poor sells = no more SF, and thats no good for us, mates...


so, why dont you stop hating and start supporting CAPCOM? they are not an evil company trying to rule the world, their work is to earn money to start new game projects!!

I agree and I'm sure most do as well.  I think my dedication to Street Fighter can easily be determined by looking at how much money and time I've happily spent on a single game brand over many years.  Or perhaps on how many friends I've made through countless matches.  Or even *gulp* dare I say...  how excited I get when they release new DLC, or trailers even pictures, or an extremely updated retail release of a game I already own.  They could have told me I'd have to buy all the costumes over again, and I know I'm not the only one who would.


For Street Fighter and Capcom I'd Do About Anything.

Another example of you being stupid, ie you're like this is a waste of money IF they don't. You don't even know what the situation is but yet you're complaining, how is that not stupid, or why should you not be called out on that?


One of two things will happen with the alt costumes. Either they will carry over or they will already be included/unlocked on the disc from the get go, so I don't see what the problem is. They're not going to make people pay for them again in DLC form.

OP come on man your not serious ¬_¬... Support Capcom and everything they've done for the SF community.. Hell SFIV is like the main reason the arcade scene popped back up. Your not giving them enough credit.

The way I see it is I only play sf4 these days while other friends that play fps or racing games buy 12 or more games a year. Im glad ssf4 is coming so quickly i have over a 1K hrs playing SF4 and have enjoyed every minute of it I bought the costume pack cause i dont mind paying £10 extra if it encourages capcom to keep the sereis alive. I hope this isnt the last version of sf4 and i hope the next version comes out in January next year... and id buy all the dlc that comes with it.

Maybe not January.


But possibly March. Unless they feel the need to refine a few thing that might take a week or two longer. Which wouldn't really be a bad thing if it's done well.
