Looks like it didn't make the cut. Looks good to me! :D

Ryu: "That's fine. Perhaps I can learn something worthwhile from your discipline. However, I won't lose. Let me show you the meaning of true strength."

Meh. Ryu looks okay in his fighting stance, but the quality is shot down when he begins charging the fireball. Chun doesn't look shapely enough. Cammy's not herself without those big Alita-eyes. And Akuma's posture is laughable. I'm glad they left this out.

Only scrubs think 3rd Strike is the best Street Fighter of all time.

This...is really bad...lol

If you look at it frame by frame when Camy and Chun Li pan acrross the screen you can see Cammy sticking out of her tongue, maybe trying to do it in a seductive/playful way but it just fails. The choice of the background stage that they pan across wasn't a good choice either, and the animation as a whole is really bad.

I know Udon were restricted in terms of frames and colors they could use for the game's development, but I'm assuming it wasn't that way in terms of the intro. This desperately needs more frames of animation and consistant drawings. I think the animation of Ryu breathing heavily before he does a hadouken is just one picture cut up and moved around which is extremely awkward. Needs some follow through animation all around. It just doesn't flow right.

Hey guys sorry you don't like it! But as for the poses, background etc, were were just asked to recreate the original opening, so didn't have much choice there. Here is the original:

This was also our first take and as it was not included in the game, we never did any refinement.

Good find. I never saw this. It looks like it was in the beta stages and besides that classic intro is hard to improve since they put 110% into that one. It would be hard to surpass that.

I did like how you guys did Akuma there. You guys always draw him so beastly and feral. Loved that part.

I see. I don't know if you're able to say but if you don't mind me asking, could you tell us how many people worked on it and how long did it take to develope that intro for you guys?

Damn shame it didn't make the cut.  I even asked about it way way back when the game was in development.
