I would agree if you could get them individually. Even if they are cheap, some of them look stupid, and I don't want to get a bunch of alts I don't like when I only want a select few.

Only scrubs think 3rd Strike is the best Street Fighter of all time.

That is the same thing I thought back then. SF is my favorite series and game, and after a long time of nothing being done, once I heard it was coming out I wanted to support the game as much as possible. If it failed then there wouldn't be another one, that is why I bought certain costume packs even if I didnt want them. Which is stupid but at that time I kept idea it just wasn't gonna sell enough to warrant more SF games.


Now its a little different. And I agree with Tobias--buying the ones you like is much better.

They already said that who had buy the old SF4 alt will have it for free in SSF4,so i guess that who hav'nt buy it will still pay 


 


Imho best solution is


 


OLD Alt -> lower price


NEW Alt-> price of Alt in SF4


 


And yes,possibility to chose to buy also just one costume,some in SFIV was the $hit: sagat,rufus,dhalsim... all lazy


pack of five -> $5


single alt -> $1.5

I really doubt they'll do DLC costumes again after the fan recation the first time around.


As far as individual alt costume DLC goes (in terms of any game) it's better for the consumer, but worse for the company.


The packs were released the way they were to maxamize profits. They know there's going to be costumes that people won't like and ones they will so they put them in packs or a pack to make more money. For instance lets say there's one alt costume that everybody hates, well how would Capcom and Microsoft/Sony (since they take a cut of the DLC profit) make any money off that alt costume? The only way to make money off it is inlcude it with a costume everyone wants, which is what they did.

Alt costumes should be in the game for free.In tekken you can costumise your character in more than 1000 ways and its all free.Why the hell should we have to pay for 1 alt costume that's going to look ridiculous anyways?

Imho they are going to give an alt at juri/t.Hawk/DeeJay/new face but that's all


 


I don't see them do 30+ new alt


 


I hope to think wrong,often a character design that i hate become a lot more acceptable with a good alt

Trust me on this, every character will get a new alt :3


 


That said, that's why this game is worth every penny


It's a whole lot of NEWNESS, everything will get a lot of content: stages, storyline, winning animations, intros, new music, new modes, a whole lot of new content
