You will probably have a basic understanding of him. Just look at how they ported all the other original characters. I imagine it will be the same.

More or less but you need to play in classic mode so the inputs wont be simplified, they use different inputs in HD mode check the move list in game to see what I mean.

I think "more or less" is the best answer for this question.

You'll have a very basic understanding of T. Hawk. You'll know his moves & but when to use them won't be  exactly the same between the two games.

You have to take into account the differences in frames, recovery, hit boxes, etc.

If you've never really played with T. Hawk before, picking him up now wouldn't hurt, but if you're already are a fairly decent T. Hawk player then there's no point in going out of your way to practice with him.

Currently Playing: King of Fighters XII, Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Resident Evil 5

Coming Soon: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Super Street Fighter IV, Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2, Bayonetta, Dark Void, Monster Hunter Tri

If you know how to do a srk, hit three buttons, and do a tick 360, you're probably as good as you need to be.

Even his normals will most likely change in the respects that Twiggy said (frame data, hit boxes), so even if his Standing HK looks the same in both games it may not function the same.

Link combos are a big deal in IV though, and you'll learn nothing from HDR there.

Depends.  Gouken has almost none, and he none that are important for his gameplay, that's for certain.
