I'm still hoping for Guy and Cody to finally make a comeback in the SF saga.Cool As for the Rival matches, here's what i think so far: Guy should take on Ibuki{if she's comfirmed as well, and don't forget, they're both shinobi}, Rose{remember SFZ3/SFA3?}, Fei-Long{since they're both no-nonsense fighters and they're even in terms of speed} or Ryu{since they have quite a history as i can recall}. As for Cody, he should fight Ken{since they have the same sort of personality}, Mike Bison/Balrog{considering that they're both dirty fighters}, Guile or Abel. This is just what i think, anyway.Wink Final Fight FTW!!! :D

I made up this cinematic intro some months ago, back when SSFIV wasn't announced yet:

Guy is in his dojo, in Metro City, teaching Bushinryu to a class of students. The door behind him opens and another ninja silently steps in, carrying an envelope. He bows to Guy: "This letter just arrived. It's addressed to you, sensei." Guy takes the envelope from his subordinate's hands, nods to thank the man, then tells his pupils to continue with their training, walks into the aisle and finally opens the envelope. His eyes widen for the surprise. Inside, there's just an old flier of a fighting Tournament [the same from Cammy's SFIV intro] and two tarot cards: the Devil and the Judgement Day. Guy closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. When he opens his eyes again, his voice is calm: "He is back. It's time to fulfill my destiny."

you know what I think? I think Cody should be in his original outfit by now, because the story has to make sense, since he's been in prison so long, and now years later, he might be on parol, or they probably solve Cody's case of being framed by poison and he's a free man now.

to put him in his original outfit, they have to give him couple of new moves for him though.

lets be honest people we don't this man on his prison outfit with his shackles, and throw dirt and rocks "WHAT?"  cause if they do that it would make the character look bad and ridiculous na mean?

yo original outfit all the way

whats yall two cent?

I can see Guy's story being tied in with either Rose or Ibuki (or both).  Cody never had much of a story in Alpha 3 so if he returns I'm sure he will be one of those characters with an afterthought for a storyline.

She's not been announced yet! Why do people keep talking like they know for a fact things that haven't been announced!!!!

First, I'm not claiming to know anything here.  Second, is it really that a big deal to discuss another character that isn't in SFIV in a speculation thread?  It's not like Cody or Guy have been announced yet either.

That's cool but it probably won't fit into SSF4's plot because I doubt it's going to be about another tournament. Since they're advancing the plot it's probably like 3S in that reguard.

Yeah, true. When I wrote it, we didn't know anything about SSFIV being like 3s, or even about SSFIV existing. So I wrote it up thinking of an upgrade game which basically tells the same story, but actually SSFIV ended up being something better than that.

Oh well, consider the flier being old as an explanation. Or read "picture depicting Bison [dictator]" instead of it... Laughing

Seeing the SFIII secret files seems the other SF and FF characters are just around, but they're not directly involved in the SFIII storyline since it focuses on Alex. So there is a possibility FF characters are just around.

OK I'll take a stab at storylines.

During an underground fight, cody ends up facing off against birdie and defeats him.

Cody then says "i'll take this (the chain) and this (the knife).  Whoa what's this. (a flyer to SSF4)."

Birdie says "what are you doing?  You already defeated me."

Cody says "Are you new here?  Other than fighting, stealing is the most common thing around here.  Word of advice.  When you are in metro city don't ever lose a fight.

hmm a street fighter tournament.  Sounds like fun (and smiles devilishly)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HUGO storyline:

He's in the wrestling ring doing a gigas breaker on some poor guy.

Poison: "that's it hugo.  I think we finally have a move that can compete with the spinning pile driver.

Poison: "sources say haggar is in russia"

Hugo: "russia?  That don't seem right"

Poison: "spinning pile driver, spinning lariat who else can do those moves?  In fact sources say he is entering the street fighter tournament"

Hugo: "I will get revenge on haggar.  This time it will be different.

There's no tournament in SSFIV (and no fliers).

Other than that, awesome!
