I remember in sf2, one of the versions you could adjust the speed,  so it was like 10 times as fast!  I would like to see that, i Pawned so hard with the su[er speed! i can react real fast! so ya others can button mash, or know abunch of  fancy moves, but i can respond at high speeds,

I SAY BRING BACK THAT TURBO MODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I disagree with the whole "adjustable speed" idea. It wouldn't be fair, especially online. One person used to a certain speed and another isn't? That wouldn't be fair at all.

I wouldn't mind a Normal and Turbo option if it's similar to how it was implemented in the Marvel Games. However, I do not want SF2T style 10 star adjustable speed.  I would hate that.  I've got a friend who always insists on fighting on the fastest speed no matter what game we're playing SFA3, DS3, SSF2T, CvS2, etc.....

"Aw this is too slow.  It's way better when it's faster it takes more skill blah blah blah."

I don't mind a few max turbo matches here and there, but I don't want to ever have to deal with that kinda crap in SSF4.

It will be a bit faster due to frame decreases for certain moves, so in a way, it will be faster.

You can ignore facts, but it won't make them go away.

I'm always for more speed in a fighting game. Sure. I'd love for there to be no slight pause when you connect lp/lk links. Give it that flowing feeling to combos instead of a slight pause between every hit. I guess i'm saying that i'd be nice if the speed was such that the normals that link into each other gave off the same feeling as if canceling into each normal.

ssfiv should not speed up the game in any single way. The game is actually built around the speed it runs at if you look closely - most actions are slow, but the jumps are as quick as they were in st. Speeding them up further would likely lead to anti-airing issues.

Not related to the topic but isn't the range of each character's jump reduced in the game?

I'd prefer it if the game got faster, not turbo fast but inbetween so it's slightly faster.

Nacor: There are some link combos that need to come out quick in order to be pulled off, because you need all the frame advantage you can get from the early part of the combo to be able to connect everything you can onto the end.  Some block strings as well require tough timing or the opponent can just SRK out of it (if you've ever been crouch jabbing against someone and been SRK'ed right in the middle, that's what happened).

Not to mention how hard it would make combos with complicated motions like going from normals straight into supers, some of C Viper's jump cancel/ special cancel stuff, Fuerte's run infinite (or any of his run combos), Gen's standing MK to hands combos, repeated low to the ground EX mid-air kick specials with Cammy, Kara cancelling normals into Akuma's Ultra...

Really any high-level technique that requires quick inputs would require even quicker inputs.  All I'm saying.

i still dont get the link thing... could you give me an example?

in link combos frame advantage always depends on the previous attack you performed, doesnt it? And as you said, block strings (and links) depend on timing; that is, in fact currently you can screw it because you press the buttons too fast...

about the complicated stick motions, other fighting games are way faster and doesnt have problems with crazy combos and cancellings... but as i said, i still have not messed around with Viper (or Fuerte) enough to know it.

of course, jumps would be faster (like any other thing), so more difficult to react against it. But taking into account how floaty most of the chars feels currently, i dont think this would be an issue.

... just saying... in fact im fine with the current speed, although i guess a faster SFIV could be more engaging.

Be patient. SF IV copies SF2 in many ways,..... there will be SSFIVT.... later.

From my point of view, its better, not to choose the speed of the game. But now, there are some people online, who specially, didnt use FIXED FPS, so the game is then in super ultra slow motion.... I hate them. So please, set FIXED FPS for online as default.....

I feel that the game should be tweaked for speed at least slightly I mean whatever street fighter you were playing prior to 4 was most likely faster so you had to adjust to SF4 gameplay and quickly readjust to play the other titles again. So why not adjust to a SSFIV that has slightly faster gameplay. bottom line is I feel like Im playing a better version of EX when Im playing 4 the timing on the links and cancels are weird and they take some getting used to the jumping feels really floaty the overall gameplay feels sluggish. SSFIV is not SF4 Ono said that there will be gameplay tweaks so why would faster gameplay be out of the question. None of the SF2 expansions felt the same to me even prior to SF2T and SSF2T. I just dont feel like any other current fighting game plays as slowly as SF4 does.

I think only the jumps need to be a bit faster and that's pretty much it. Don't forget some characters in the game are really fast already like el fuerte.
