So I decided to make a thread on how to improved/nerf cammy in SSF4. I really love playing her. What changes would you like to see in her? This is my opinion,but I would like to hear your guys opinions as well :D Here it is: +Hooligan Throw should grab croucher or at least ex version should grab croucher >< ? Overhead? This is questionable so I don't really know +SBF (spinning back fist) should be a little faster. ? Cannon Strike as an overhead? (might be to powerful) ? Hooligan throw to Cannon Strike? (just something that i add lol) *Her health is fine. fadc +ultra should connect fully

... so she can grab anything now? air, crouch and standing? and then she would cannon strike from it? and then fadc into full ultra? maybe she should also get projectiles? like bullets. that kill the other person after the anywhere on the screen grab --> cannon spike --> ultra --> bullets while theyre on the ground? lol im just messin around but yeahh. strongly disagree with this how to make cammy into a god thread. |

She's fine the way she is. Give her an overhead and maybe an easier jump-in cross-over, no need to overkill it. |

As has been suggested in SRK, give her the ability to pull off an overhead Cannon Strike from Hooligan (and only from hooligan). This would give her something against down-back turtles that isn't as troubling a hooligan throw working on crouching opponents (since it already works against airborne ones). Also, give her a bit more health and speed up her Quick Spin Knuckle (make it, you know, quick). Also, HDR motion for Hooligan. It's kinda annoying how Sagat's TK has a DP motion like in HDR, but Cammy (and Fei Long's) TK motion move(s) didn't.

taking into account how buffed Sagat and Ryu (and Balrog in a lesser extent) are, any suggestion for console chars are ok! :P now seriously, she needs a way to punish heavy turtles other than her tick throwing game (it doesnt work against competent players who play with a char with good reversal). maybe and overhead cannon strike could overpower her a bit (because it would be comboable with s. spike into ultra if meter is avalaible)... but at least the EX one could work as an overhead, this way we give her a not spammable overhead. im against making EX Hooligan to catch crouched opponents though, it would be broken when fighting some chars (meaty EX Hooligan would be almost unstoppable by chars without good reversal). spinning back fist should be faster, no doubt about it (currently it is almost useless). and close high kick should be faster too (currently it is a waste normal). and of course, FADC into ultra should inflict way more damage. Not full ultra damage but 75%-80% or something. Currently it doesnt worth to use ex meter to combo into ultra unless you are close to win the match. Taking into accout it would still be situational (it doesnt connect if the c. spike is not point blank, and if you are in the corner it doesnt connect also), it would not be broken at all. |

Which is why there's the suggestion of an overhead Cannon Strike that you can only use from Hooligan (similar to Akuma/Gouken's kick out of Demon Flip).

mm... take into account the way Cammy floats in the air when performing Hooligan is way different from Aku/Gou Demon Flip jump. she travels more fast, close to ground and straight. im not saying its not a good suggestion, but i have my concerns about it... |

i think they really just need to completely rethink her. Some things about her are just terrible: The main one is that her turn around punch is completely useless as is Some things take too little skill or are too good imo: Her cannon spike needs to get rethought out completely--> -it generally will beat any cross up attempt when spammed out -it is safe on block against most characters -the air version has a very easy 50/50 grab or another (safe against most characters) cannon spike, after the air one was blocked -the cannon spike will still hit you if you jump up after it to punish it (wtf lol) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If they made the cannon spike work like a DP (would not cleanly beat any cross ups) and made it hard, but possible, to punish for most of the characters, then i'd be fine with the easy 50/50 it has. Sorry if im b*tching about this so much, but my buddy plays her and just abuses the crap out of the cannon spike SOOOOO: i say if they made her cannon spike somewhat fair, then she could really use some buffs that would make her a better, interesting character. but if they leave the cannon spike as is, i would not want her buffed much at all. |

You forget that with it's recovery, a blocked/whiffed Cannon Spike pretty much results in Cammy eating a move, usually an Ultra.
