worries over 2 Ultras and netcode and no character specific stages

OK its obvious their are going to be 2 Ultras but are they going to be selectable (like Third Strike) or are both Ultras going to be avaiable. I am worried that if both Ultras are available then their will be more turtling, for example if im fighting against Ryu and he has his Ultra I have to watch out for his Ultra hadoken and Ultra shoryuken.


Another thing Im worried for is netcode, Capcom hasnt said anything about it, so I am assuming its going to be the same. But wouldn't spectators and lobbies make the games even more laggy. Im already having trouble having minimal lag against Americans and Japanese, I onl get decent games against Europeans (Im from the UK). Unlike SSF2HDR were I get good connections from everyone around the world.


Finally another thing that bothers me is that their are still no sign of character specific stages. To me thats importent, it gives the game more polish and the charcters more personality (just look at SF2). I know they said they will add more stages but I would like a LOT more stages.


Sorry for being negative, Im ultra hyped for this game, and excited for all the cool new features, these are just a few things I think that would make the game even better.

Basically


Ultra 2 is more powerfull,but you must take more damage(80%?) and risk to charge it.


Ultra 1 is weaker(they are going to nerf all old Ultra damage?) but is avaible yet when you have still 50% of lifebar.


If you take enough damage to charge ULTRA 2 you can chose if use both Ultra 1 or Ultra 2.


A full charged Ultra bar allow you to do two ULtra 1 or one Ultra 2

yes!! thats very nice if the ultra system work like that. thats make me feel like going all out to change the situation when performing the ultra 2!!!! but the thing is in this case, i hope for all the character, their ultra 2 scene must be more powerful than the current ultra 1. Tongue out


 


for Guile, i wish his ultra 2 will be some combination of hard moves and finishing with a very strong and large Sonic hurricane!!! or starting with a large 10 hits Sonic hurricane and when the opponent fry off. then follow by the 5 sonic break continue hitting the opponent!!!hehe!!Laughing

Yep. It's going to increase lag either way (since the game isn't using dedicated servers), but with the current SF4 netcode, that'd be potentially game-ruining. Hopefully they're not trying to pull an Infinity Ward.

Well they could simply make it so the netcode doesn't care whether or not the spectators are in sync (which is how it is with GGPO I believe, then again, they should just use that).

Man we could list all our worries on here and it still won't change anything. Some of the ways to fix the problem would end up making you pissed off even more.     GGPO is the way to go. Even district or area match making. How would that work? You would play against people in your own state, prov, district, country.  If your having problems with lag playing American's......don't play us!   I hate playing online because of the imput delay. It's too bad that we can play against a computer AI that mirrors someone elses playing style.


Ultras one and two? I am more worried about super one and two! One super 2 ultras just seems uneven to me. But guess what it does not matter. There will be new stages, I don't think there will be 20 new stages. We all need to relax and just wait and watch. I think Ono knows what he is doing.

Whether or not Ultras should be selectable is debatable but definitely the only thing that needs to be addressed in the ultra dept. is the fact that 'effort isnt rewarded' in SFIV. Meter is built by attacking the opponent not getting your scrub ass handed to you.
