Meaning SF2 is the mother game which helpped push for more sequals to be made.  If SF2 did not click capcom would of stopped the franchise from there.  With the success of SF2 it is what brought sequals, movies, anime, figures, comics, ect... which made it as big as it is today.


It also revolutionized the fighting game category
