In the name of trying to track down the problems or issues so we may address them, please describe your issue and also please post your DXdiag so we can detect commonalities. Please instruct anyone not on Capcom-Unity to sign in and share their input as well.

But first, some basics:

Are you using the latest DirectX redistributable? Note this is from April 2011 and you MUST have this installed even if you had DirectX installed previously if the game is to work properly.

Are you using the latest GFWL redistributable? NOTE: this is from May and you MUST have this installed even if you had GFWL installed previously if the game is to work properly.

Are you using the latest graphics drivers from Nvidia or ATI?

There are some known issues that we are addressing shortly. Please read that link for details.

If after updating those you're still having issues, please post your DXdiag

How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

6. Open the file in notepad or wordpad

7. Select All (Cntrl-A)

8. Copy (Cntrl-C)

9. Respond to this thread and Paste (Cntrl-V)

If you know solutions or underlying causes to issues folks are having, please also post them so that we can share the love.

Hey Sven i know this probably doesnt belong here but im probably not going to get an answer in the technical section so here i go. Can you tell me when you guys are going to fix the Mic problem for the PS3 when theres more than one person in a lobby. This is the third SFIV game i and lots of others have bought in fact i bought the DLC then bought the disc version when it was released.

Its pointless to have more than one friend in a lobby that has a mic because your constantly cutting in and out so you cant make out anyting anyone is saying. This was a problem in super and theres no excuse for it since other games dont have this issue when theres more than two people with mics. Its bad enough we cant see or show off some of the alternate costumes unless there downloaded on the PS3 version.

Once again sorry this is in the wrong place but i dont know how else to get a response to this since this has been an issue since super. Thanks ahead of time for any responses.

Hey Sven, having a lot of fun with ssf4ae, downloaded it from steam today.

Had a couple of issues though, all of which I've worked around. The first thing was my g110 logitech keyboard wasn't detected, neither was my ps3 te fight stick, so I couldn't press "start". A cheaper logitech keyboard did work however but over rode the input from the other keyboard, I finally got the g110 working after I plugged it in while ssf4ae was running & then unplugged the cheaper keyboard and restarted the game. Remapped the keys & it's working fine & so did the stick after restarting the game with it plugged into the keyboard. Joystick needed to be set to RS for the directions to be detected when remapping it.

I went to change the game to fixed framerate and the game started crashing. The game is stable if: gfwl is not signed in, or I use the cheaper keyboard, but finally it's working fine as long as the g110 and the fight stick are both plugged before the game starts.

Kind of weird, thought I'd mention it incase other people are having issues, though everything is working fine for me now.

Thanks for this thread Sven.

The issue that I and a lot of other users are having is that when attempting to change the button config the game crashes on pressing a/enter on any of the buttons to modify it.

I have already re-downloaded the latest directx, gfwl, and drivers for my nvidia geforce gts 250.

Some users have reported that new and/or wireless keyboards are part of the issue, and that older wired keyboards have allowed them to change the bindings so that their stick or controller has the right button layout when they play without the keyboard. I'm using a pretty new wireless HP keyboard so that may be part of my problem.

The keyboard isn't recognized by ae, but my old xbox 360 hori ex2 stick works just fine other than the fact that the default button config is for a 360 pad.

I actually have a workaround that almost worked. Using the hotfix from the other thread so that the keyboard is recognized and using a 3rd party keybinding program like joy2key I was able to get the right button config and play with my stick, but the B/Cancel button refused to bind for reasons I can't understand.

Thus, I and several frustrated pc sfers are at a loss (including my friends and I who got the steam 4pack). Hopefully this thread will help us figure out what's going on.
