RYU

I had my eye on El Fuerte for a while . I played with him in the arcade . I popped out some pretty neat moves . I would love to have more time with him , but I guess I gotta wait a few more weeks .

Sadly Makoto doesn't exist in SF4 (cries). And the only person who has a command grab (as I've seen so far) is Fei Long, and I just don't like him that much in the past games, but I guess I'll give him a shot. However, apparently his command grab doesn't go into good comboes... Though, apparently Gouken has a nice command throw so I might give him a shot. Also his expansion Shoryuken is a lot like Makoto's Hayate, though a whole lot slower.

What about Zangief and El Fuerte? :P

Gouken's throw is a regular back-throw :)

Gouken's back-throw goes into his ultra though. Which is close enough to the endless chain you can get from Makoto. I don't really like characters completely based on throws though, I need more expansions than throw based maneuvers. That and Gief is too sloooooow.

Hi guys... I'm new here to the Street Fighter community, and I thought I might place my first post here in this basic easy-to-answer thread. I've played Alpha a lot before and I will be maining Gen in SF4, as I always have, which I guess is a pretty rare pick here *cough*GoukenLOL*cough*. I will probably try all the characters I can, but I really feel the urge of getting more attention on the old underrated cancer-dying chinese master. Please tell me I'm not the only one engaged in this epic quest. ^^

Yeah Gen is cool and I was thinking of using him as a main until I heard that he was difficult to use because of his stances. I've played him before in Street Fighter Alpha 3 but it was on his X-ism which I'm pretty only has 1 stance and is much easier to use so I'm going to have to practice using him before going online but if you're going to play as Gen then be sure to finish the game with Chun-Li first because she is the character that would unlock him in the roster.
Akuma is my favorite character in the game but he seems to be a bit stronger than the avarage character so I'm not going to use him as a main because it would lead to a slight advantage. I'll be using Rufus as a main online until I can figure out how to properly use Gen's stances...

Please Help Support Darkstalkers HD Remix!
If enough support is made and if this game makes enough profit, then we might be able to get a new Darkstalkers sequel in the style of Street Fighter IV or even better!!!

Of course I'll play everyone, but I plan to put alot of time into El and Fei. I loves me my Fei, but I really want to branch out like I used to in EX.

I played Alpha 2 with all the stances and everything so I know how the character works. But the thing I love about Gen is his ability to confuse opponents because of his doubled up number of different punches and kick. His supers aren't very powerful but are made for any situation. He has two different ultras because his two stances. And for the lulz, he doesn't have any projectiles, so I can flame anyone who starts abusing them. Chinese old mastah's ftw...
