Some say I'm better with charge characters, (Gen/Chun are in there) I just hardly main them.

 

Gen's not a charge character....well except for two of his moves...

He's actually a mix of charge + motion, hmmm so I guess you're fine hehe

I know... I did use him in SFA. and posted as much in the character discussion thread specifically about Gen.

hybrid should be more accurate for Gen if not most charge users but pure chargers Guile/Charlie. taping a button (hand slap, lighnting kicks, closeline, electric... etc) isn't the same as charging or rotation either.

and a mixed (or hybrid) character, having a mix of two or more command types, would still fit the individual classifications.

is Gen a rotation character... yes, he has atleast on rotation based command

is Gen charge character... yes, he has atleast one charge based command

is Gen a 360 character... no, he has no 360 input commands.

while not trying to segue into opinons of mixed races, I'll say in SF many players i've seen grouped in these setting with maybe the caviot that if a character had even one charge command they were chargers unless, they had at least one 360 command; maybe it's to distiguish from pure rotation based. Tappers fell in by their dominant command inputs.

however clarification on input types are not nessecary to enjoy the game, or even play competatively.
