PS3 Version Inferior?

One last thing, I swear. But for the people who aren't having problems with their PS3 version, why are you buying both the 360 and PS3 version of the same game then. I don't mean to judge, it just seems excessive to have to buy the same game on both systems.

When I was finally able to buy SSF2THDR, I discovered bugs/glitches in the game. This is my situation. After 3 or 4 online unranked matches, I would get disconnected from the game. I would then go to the single player mode, out of frustration, but as soon as I get to the "verus screen" before the match, the game would just freeze and I would be stuck in "limbo."

That happened to me on the 360 version today.

You know I'm just giving in and gettinga  360 just played on my friends and all in all it runs smoother and lives interface is better.

Just so you all know this thread was not meant to bash the game. It's an incredible game I love it but the fact that it is not equal in terms of quality is hard to swallow for PS3 users. I think I can blame The Cell for some of the difficulties. I'm juts tired of a wonky online service and second rate ports.

I don't agree that it's excessive at all. Those who have both versions can play with the whole userbase, rather than half of it. I have friends playing both versions and when I get my own 360 in a few months, you can bet I'll be buying that version too so I can play with all of them. :D

You must have more money than them then lol...

Don't understand why oneself would have to make the sacrifice instead of others making the sacrifice.

Me? If people don't buy the same console as me, well too bad for them really.

That's life, I have more things to buy like clothes, books, etc.

If I was not reading issues about online issues for the 360, I would think that you were telling the truth. But from the looks of it, you either are giving a false impression, or you haven't played the game long enough to see the issues.

can't find a ranked match.

stats not saving.

lag.

I sort of feel sorry for Capcom reading this because not only do these things probably annoy them reading it, but it could possibly make them not realize that issues are in existance for that system. Which ultimately is a horrible thing. It's really annoying reading so many posts over and over making it seem like the ps3 version of the game is so horrible or something for these issues that people are experiences on a different system as well.

We need to make all the issues as known as possible, but let's try to make things as simple as possible just naming the issues without claims that one is better than another. Issues are issues, and they need to be fixed. No "reasons" for such issues. Just get them fixed.

First, PSN wouldn't accept my credit cards(2) to buy the game. I can use both credit cards to buy whatever I want from either Xbox Live Marketplace or the Wii Shop Channel but for some idiotic reason, Sony doesn't want to accept my money. I ended up going to Best Buy, late last night before they closed, to buy a $20 PSN card. Btw, I called Sony Customer Support. I was on the phone with them for 25mins (although, I was on hold for more than half that time.) They told me that I tried my card too many times and that I would have to wait 24 hours before I can try again. Thing is... my credit card WORKS on the 360 and Wii. This shouldn't be an issue where a company can't accept my money.

I also tried playing with my friends and its so much more harder to join and chat on the PS3 than it is on the 360.

I don't might the lag because gamers should expect some case of lag in any online video game. It just goes with the terrority. But the general networking for the PS3 is horrible. I truly regret my purchase. Now it looks like I'm going to be wasting my money to buy the game (again) for the Xbox 360.

Sorry for the long rant, but I've been so hyped about this game... moreso than with any other game that came out this month and there were alot of Triple-A games this month. It just sucks to have this bitter taste in my mouth after so much excitement. But yay for Capcom cause they will probably be getting money from me since I will probably buy this game for the 360.

A man after my own heart...Please refer to my " We better not complain" thread...And I wrote it before you wrote this one. We're just suckers Marc, thats all, they got us.

I think it's pretty clear to people who have played both online that the PS3 version has far more problems and they happen more frequently. Now is it PSN's fault or is it SFHD I do not know probably a mix but I paid 400 for a system I expect it to play as well as it would on a 360.

Except for the unbearably slow download speed when I first got it, I haven't really had any problems.  I've probably played over 200 games already and I have really only had one laggy round and problems with disconnecting have been very infrequent (maybe twice in all the games I have had).  I do only play player matches though... Screw ranked.

One thing that is annoying though is the voice chat.  It is clearly delayed behind the action a little.  There is like a 5 or so second delay with voice chat.  It isn't that bad, but it does get annoying.

Once I fix my 360, I think I will buy it for that system as well, just for comparison sake.  But so far,  I have had a great time with the PS3 version.
