I don't think it matters which one has "more" issues. They both have issues. Just say the issues. How to recreate the issues. And hopefully Capcom reads them and attempts to fix them. It's on two different systems, and there has not been a SF game on the PS3 yet or one with online. It should be expected that there will be issues that the 360 version wouldn't have since it had a previous SF game and it had a beta. Differences are bound to happen, but fixing issues that are faults of Capcom should be mentioned to get Capcom to fix it.
I see posts condemning Sony which is pointless because Capcom is the one that has the game with the issues that happens to also be on a Sony system. One dude in a different topic was talking about how Sony was cocky about the success about the PS2.. .which really should have no bearings on SSF2THDR at all... but apparently it does.
The issues shouldn't be accepted, but we shold keep them related to the issues itself instead of blaming it on whatever random reasons we can think of. |

I've been playing since last night and havn't had any problems yet with online. No lag no glitches nothing. I thought of all the people that had problems with online I would be one of them seeing as i'm on the other side of the world from the rest of you guys. (Australia) |

That dude was me and if you read my post carefully you'd see I was talking about the ps3 in general, and specified how the ps3 had lack of development on psn and many ps3 games. Also sony doesn't provide servers like microsoft does, the developers have to last time I checked, and they don't want to pay a lot of money so many times there are online problems in the beginning cause the servers can't handle it. A perfect example would be socom Confrontation which started out very horribly. Also, if the developers choose to close those servers then no one can ever play that game online so its not like the 360. This is the second time you've mentioned me without getting my point, so please read carefully next time

I bought the XBL version, and I was thinking about buying the PSN version as well. But if it's technically inferior, I'm out. |

I think you people need to check your network connections, or something... Sure, last night after a few hours I got the disconnect on PS3 a few (5) times, but I played over 30 amazing matches and 20+ matches on XBox 360 today. Not everyone is having network issues. Not everyone is getting the disconnects. We are on a forum here so it makes it look 100x worse when half (20 MAYBE 30 ppl) of the people posting here are saying they get the problem. I'm not saying don't bring the issues up, I have found glitches and bugs in the game too. But are you sure what the problem is? Everyone is lumping lag/disconnects/bad connection/bad network settings/possible console error/possible game bug into one big pile: "The Capcom Screwed Us Pile," and that isn't fair to Capcom nor to us who are having fun. I guarantee you there are 1000's and 1000's of us out here who don't feel that way. So, while there may POSSIBLY be a disconnect glitch, that does NOT automatically mean any of the following: And most of all it doesn't mean that you can't enjoy it. Again I guarantee there are 1000's and 1000's and 1000's of people out there (including myself and a few who are posting specifically in this thread) who are having a great time with the game. If you are not enjoying the game then give it some time to see if there is a real issue, or maybe try some better/different network settings/hookups. I really hope that more of you can enjoy the game the way it's meant to be played, because other than the disconnects on PS3 a few times, it's been a blast.
P.S. - So far I do not find either console to be inferior to the other if you are ONLY talking about quality of online matches. Not the GUI, not things XBox Live has that PSN doesn't (achievements, recent players, etc.), not things heard from other people, JUST online matches. I have my own personal favorite all around console just like you guys, but I'm going to be playing matches on both consoles for a long time from now. |

If I come off as if i'm needlessly complaining I do apoligize. PSN service has ups and down features like trophy support, home integration, players met, etc are optional for the devs. So those not being included is Partly Sony's fault for not making it madatory and partly the devs fault for choosing not to implement it. These are understandable.
Now I am not on expert on how servers work but it seems to be peer to peer for these types of games people on PS3 are have connection issues and drop out on good connections. The same people who on that same connection are not having these issues on the 360 like myself who tried the game on my nephews 360 running from the same connection as my PS3 much better performance overall and no disconnects.
It is obviously a problem with the NetCode it would appear the lack of beta testing did hurt us a bit. Since many testers said this is how it felt in beta before it was patched. So let's assume a future patch can have it running as smoothly as Live.
I believe it's in our right to give constructive criticism. I don't hate Capcom I love them and this game. I do however want these problems addressed so I made this so people can bring it to their attention that things need fixing. That is why these boards are here in the first place. I paid good money for a console not much for SF HD but you better believe it's performance weighs heavily on my purchase of SF IV in Febuary. Things that matter to me are communication and commitment to the customer. So far they have done a great job and I won't crucify them but I would love to know these things are being looked into. |

I agree
I told Capcom to make a ps3 beta, and probably due to the budget they only did it for the 360. In the end it'll hurt their ps3 sales, that's the sad part.
Might alienate those who would've wanted to get SFIV too... All I can hope for now is a patch

Well, it will certainly prevent me from making an immediate purchase of SFIV, as I did with this. Will probably wait a couple of weeks to monitor reactions on the web. |

I'm in a similar situation, but my view is slightly different: If they get it patched before SFIV comes out I'll buy SFIV on release day. But if this is still waiting for a patch (any patch, even if it only fixes a few things) then I'll wait like you. I just want to see a committment to fix issues/bugs in the PS3 version by actions (though words would help). |
