How on earth could this challenge even go down realistically?  Crack is in the US,  Jesse is in the UK.  LAAAAAAAAAAAG!  This match won't go down realistically unless both like to play with tons of lag spikes... Waste of time if you ask me.

But good luck to both if you decide to do it

Wrong! I've had plenty of totally clean games with the USA from the UK.

I do have an excellent net connection though (one of the best domestic connections you can get in this country), and I guess my USA opponents had good connections too. I've also found time-of-day seems to affect it, I guess due to general internet latency - but games in the morning UK time have generally been better. Sadly I am usually at work or asleep then! Tongue out

Incidently, since I have semi-called out M and Jesse just now, if you want to play me, my GT is the same as my forum name almost everywhere - Remy77077. I don't have any way to youtube it I am afraid. Same as crack though, I'm no unbeatable player, I'd say I'm only "upper mid tier" when it comes to general SF2 skill - but I think you'll find my attitude to be great. I seem to end up with a few friend requests whenever I play HDR - especially when drunk - it's actually getting out of hand as I can't keep track of who everyone is. I so wish XBL gave me some way to make a note against ppl on my friends list like "kicked my ass with Blanka on HDR" or something. Frown

my dear crack, you havnt given your xbox live Gt either, do you really think I'm gonna fall that trick...yeah I'll give you my GT, then you will look for me online, if I beat you, you wont say that it is you, if you beat me you post it all over the forums, so when you give me your xbox GT i'll give you mine, besides its jesse challenge that you need to man up for, he's offered you a challenge and you have yet to step up

LOL, king baby cries about throws, chastizes me for not stepping up to a less than day old challenge (which I initiated, BTW), but ducks out when I mention I challenged him a week ago.

But it's cool, toots. Kiss  I know you have to protect your precious e-honor on the Capcom blog, but really - you've already blown your credibility with your bizarre and entirely incorrect rants on the game.

*laughs* just as well, because as I've said elsewhere, I love throws! Wink

The best beating you can give someone is when you win with a tick throw, and get the "opponent has disconnected" screen.

I know people get annoyed with people disconnecting like that, but it always just makes me chortle, as the way I see it is this; I've not just beaten them at a video game when they do that, I've beaten them at life by making them reveal what a sad person and poor loser they are.

Once again my dear "friend" crack is mistaken, I have never complained about throws, I have:

voiced my concerns about the reliabilty of the countering system
asked about the proper time to perform the counter
asked if throws have changed for this game
asked what is the reason I've been thrown outta special moves...

At this point I must thank sabre cos he has answered all my questions with plausible answers

...but I have never complained about being thrown.  You challenged me but never gave your xbox GT which kinda eliminates the point of the challenge, which means you were hoping that me or jesse would back down so you could save face.  If you think that I would fall for that then you must truly think I'm as dumb as you are.

Jesse has openly challenged you and he was first in giving you his GT, but you have ducked out again, crack you are becoming the big talking coward of these forums.  Admit you are too scared to challenge him or just hush up.  It pointless acting tough in an online forum cos here you are nothing more than words on a screen.  Its always the case, those who brag the most dont have the skills to back it up.  If you were truly good at street fighter then you would not be so hasty to challenge ppl without giving them your GT and you would not also be so obnoxious to ppl who have opinions about the game that differ from your own.

Ok let me be a little more specific.  UK/Europe to East Coast US is doable, from what I'm told.  But midwest and west coast US to Europe is not even worth dealing with.  Maybe if i put smoothing setting to high, then it will just suck, instead of being balls out atrocious.  Plus that sacrifices more input lag, which I know I wouldn't be willing to do  =(

most of the ppl on my firend list who I play on a regs are from the US and there is no dicernable lag.  I only get serious lag when I play ppl from east asia or australia

Your standards are also probably different to my standards as well.  I know st very well, and when i start seeing things that shouldnt be happening due to rollback,  i will call the connection garbage.  Even when its things most people don't even notice.  Plus i only play with smoothing on low or off.
