Cheap is like...

Throw youre opponent all the time.

hit him with hadoken all the time

and when he blocks and have no healt just a littlebit en you give him a special move he will be death...

shinkuu hadoken is often used for chip damage only and not expected to hit, only against o.sagat maybe in fireball wars.

'playing to win' is what every professional uses and should be what every average player and beginner uses. if youre not using this then youre just not playing the game right. the whole point is to win and if youre winning by using an abuseable tactic then your opponent is just not experienced by running into it 100% of the time. beginners will usually spam a tactic, regardless of whether it works or not (jab shoryukens might ring a bell).

if he throws you, throw him back or reversal.
if he keeps jumping anti air him out of the sky.
if he turtles all the time, throw him into submission.

just a few examples there but the glory of street fighter (except for the original) is that there has been a remedy for everything in the game since sf2.

so in total, if you are being beat by an abuseable tactic (throwing) you need to get learning and stop complaining, or study the loop in more intermediate cases (balrog headbutt loop).

P.S. wasnt targeting you with any of that post, evil ryu.

well cheap to me is when people spam the same moves over and over again...hadoukens...etc.. or when a player like guile is just turtling against a player like e honda with no projectile...or when both of u have low health and all it takes is one more hit,but instead of hitting,u throw a projectile that needs to be avoided or else you die. thats cheap.other than that. its all good

well now I know what to do to beat you.  only scrubs have mentality like that bro. Always blaming the opponent for a loss rather than yourself.  Classic case of pointing the finger in the wrong direction.  if someone keeps using the same thing over and over, and you lose to it, what does that say about you?  catch my drift?

Hey back in the day,my cousins in toronto use to call what they thought was cheap stuff in SFII cheese or would call you cheesy.  Was that like a canadian term?

The computer does not know what cheap is. It only understands who is getting hit and who dies first.

These are the only rules.

Any additional rules are self impossed and are your own handicap.

The object of the game is to defeat your opponent, by any means necessary.

A victory is a victory. Don't worry what your opponent is thinking, about what you are doing.

It is up to him to overcome it (again, by any means necessary), and if he cannot, he is the lesser player.

The only time cheap, cheating, or exploiting should be mentioned is if there is the possibility of

an outside force in action, such as a gameshark, macro buttons, etc.

Everything else the game allows is fair game.

The term cheap should be synonymous with winning because some people just don't get it.

"Cheap" is usually called out in anguish.

No, what the computer does (or used to) at times is unhumanly possible. Ever see the computer controlled Sim pull the hundred noogie nudge or Blanka's billion bites? I'll take a SPD over that any day.

Exactly.

Should have been more clear, sorry.

Edit: And speaking of blanka's "billion bites" I was playing SSF2THD with a friend the other day.

I cannot remember what charecter I was using, but my friend was using Balrog [Boxer] and

got me in the head-butt grab and it hit me about 15 times. I remember this well because

we had a room full of people going "WTF!" and I was scrubing the joystick like mad trying to

get out of it. Luck of the draw on that one.
