thanks, it was a great interview, glad the writers are excited about it and I too hope the series continues past three issues.
Would love to see the story of Darkstalkers 3 made into a comic form.
Or even a spin-off Morrigan comic about her adventures in other worlds (her cameos in other games) if Udon could get the liscense to do something like that. I can dream. Although I wouldn't cross my fingers for the Marvel vs Capcom cameos but Cross-Edge, Gunbird, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Capcom vs SNK, ect...but like I said a dream.
I hear ya Rhuen. I really do hope that we'll be able to see Darkstalkers 3 in comic book form as well. Characters like Jedah and B.B. Hood are just too good not to be included.
As for Morrigan spin off, well...ok, I'm going to say something pretty controversial; I'm not a big Morrigan fan. Just never been that interested in her, mainly b/c out of all of the Darkstalker designs I feel that she seems the tackiest. Her purple spandex leggings and those god-awful bat wings in her hair make her seem more like a 3rd grader dressing up for Halloween rather than a ruler Makai. Even with the hottest, most lesbo-riffic artwork featuring her and Lilith, I'm feeling nothing. And I like lesbo-riffic artwork !
Still, if there are character-centric specials, I'd be more interested in a Jon Talbain mini-series, preferably featuring Felicia. Indeed, after Ryu/Chun-Li, the two characters I'd most like to see hook up are Talbain/Felicia. The fact that UDON had the two paired up was one of my favorite aspects of the Darkstalker series and I hope to see it continue on in the mini-series.
You actually describe one of the things I love about Morrigan, she seems to embody that oh-so funny aspect of Halloween, the slutty costume. You see it every year, you can take any innocent costume and there will be a hot slutty version of it out there, even Sherlock Holmes. Morrigan reminds me of those costumes, the woman dressed up like a tart for halloween like some vampiress in heat LoL. You even see it on trick or treats some lady dresses her kid up like an adorable little witch, and the mom has a matching costume, except her's is basically Elvira with a witch hat LoL.
