Would you pay $15.99 for a strait port of third strike. No HD graphics no game balancing just the same netcode as HD REMIX. I would defiently, let me know your thoughts. |

straight port? no.
hd has new art, new gameplay tweaks, etc etc etc. for almost the same price. vs a game with no changes at all? nope. |

No, at the very least it would have to have a few new things, a few extras (galleries, etc.) and maybe some HD Remix style rebalancing. And even with that, I still only be willing to pay around 10 bucks.
I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!

You guys are picky. Fifteen bucks is nothing. That's lunch. If you get an hour of enjoyment out of it isn't that worth it? |

lol yea, people pay over a bill for a nice arcade stick, and some of you wouldn't pay 15 for one of the best fighting games ever made lol I don't get people's reasoning sometimes. HD remix almost got cancelled cause it was such a big investment, and cost 7x to 10x more than other dwnld digital games. Don't take it for granted.

yeah, hd remix if it were to be a bigger project (like say sf3 hdr or alpha hdr) would probably cost more than sf4 because udon whom are a high status company had to draw every single frame of animation. hd remix was only just doable because sf2 had the worst animation in a street fighter game - but that was good news for st fans. so i can come to terms with that.
i dont mean to spit in backbone/capcoms face but i would have preferred to have sf3, without any of the hd and balancing features our new sf2 got. then again i wouldnt call myself a casual player... |

I would have paid sixty dollars for hd remix. I would pay 20 for any basic port of another game, with online fuctionality. |

Isn't the downloadable MvC2 just a straight port with net-code? It's been a while since I've heard anything about it, but that would be well worth $15, and even more. |

yes I pay a lot for a stick, but it has uses for MULTIPLE games, and is needed for me to play these types of games. Also, I don't care for 3s that much anymore. I can play it well, played it for years at nationals and SBO qualifiers, but I am tired of the game. Not saying it isn't a good game, but the balance of the game, and some of the flaws make it old to me. If they did a re-balance, if its re-balanced well, then it's a different story, I would pick it up for sure.
if STHD was never re-balanced, I dunno if the 15bux it costs now would be a value to me. I have ST on other consoles, plus having the arcade board. A paint job wouldn't have been enough to me.
But when it's all said and done, i love sf, and I would buy anyway, cuz I do support the name, even if it wasn't worth the price of admission. Hell, I paid for Capcom Fighting Jam, even when I knew the game was absolute trash. So yeah... =(
MVC2, is worth buying tho. I don't particularly care for mvc2. But considering the DC was the ONLY good version(aside from arcade), and also considering the DC is very faulty with controller ports(gotta love blue screens) and there is no way to play mvc2 online at all, makes it a more worthy purchase. Atleast with 3s, there was an online version on xbox and many ways to play it via pc emulators. Not the case with MVC2. |
