Guess we'll never know his true identity. But i'm crossing my fingers that if we ever find out, it'll be David or Joe(SF1). The only two that would make the most sense. Anyway, aside from "who" he/she really is, the design of Q is derived from both anime and live action shows in japan(Justl like how Yun & Yang resemble Duo and Trowa from Gundam Wing). Yeu did mention earlier that Q was based on a live action show from the 70's called Robot Detective (ロボット刑事 ,Robotto Keiji) where the main protagonists name was K. But there is more to his design than just that show. There was another show called Giant Robo: The Day the Earth Stood Still (ジャイアント・ロボ - 地球が静止する日 ,Jaianto Robo - Chikyū ga seishi suru hi) where in one of the OVAs you see a character dressed exactly like Q with the same mask, the same coat, the same hat, and he just so happens to be fighting the "Q" organization(It even says the letter Q all over the train). To see what I'm talking about, check out the youtube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YgYnkvYWvc and you will see what I mean at both 0:58 & 1:41. ![]() SSF2T/HD Remix: FeiLong, DeeJay, Thawk, Cammy, Zangief, Dhalsim, Guile, Vega(Claw), Balrog(Boxer) ![]() A2/3: Gen, Karin, Guy, Sodom, Birdie, Charlie, Sakura, Vega(Claw), Balrog(Boxer), R.Mika, Zangief, Juli, Juni, FeiLong, Dhalsim, Thawk, DeeJay, Cammy, Guile SF33S: Hugo, Q, Sean, Twelve, Remy, Elena, Dudley, Yang SF4: Abel, Guile, FeiLong, Gen, Dan, Cammy, Zangief "BORSCH IS BEST!" |

Guys, I know who Q really is... Q is R.Mika! It's so obvious! Okay, but seriously, I don't think Q himself is a robot and some people say he's M.Bison, though he doesn't really fit Bison's frame or style. Some people say he's Sagat, but... the fighting style is too dissimilar and I don't think Sagat has any reason to run around in a trench coat. So, as for who Q really is, I don't know. For all we know Q is Q. Though, it could be Alex's dead friend or something, I dunno.
Looking back at SF Alpha, it developed on what happened with before SF2. It included Charlie who was only mentioned and Akuma who was a mysterious boss himself. Heck, SF Alpha gave us some info on some characters backstories. But, it was non-cannon. Alpha 2 and 3 was what gave us the info about what happened leading up to SF2. So there is hope there, that the second installment will help explain a bit more things. I find it appropriate for Q himself to be a secret boss in some installment of SF4.

Hmmm, interesting thoughts indeed, I never really gave thought to Q (despite al his power) holding back. He could definitely be an intersting secret boss if brought back, also it'd be a bit fresh instead of it always being Akuma.

The only reason I hope Q is not Joe from Street Fighter is Joe seriously got on my nerves KOing me left and right. I kind of prefer Q being a mystery that we never really get a back story to. I think he'd be amazing in SSF4, but still as a mystery. |

There were 7 episodes created and each one took about 4 months to a year to make(creation period spanned from July 22, 1992 to January 25, 1998!). Anyway, I love all the street fighter characters and the strong influences from tv and film that they are inspired from.
